Businessman Herman Cain is now atop the field of Republican White House hopefuls, squeaking past former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.
Cain garnered 25 percent support of Republican primary voters in the poll released Tuesday, compared to Romney's 21 percent.
In early October, the two men were tied at 17 percent.

ditto.
There are only two people who give a crap what Rove has to say anymore.....Sean Hannity and Karl Rove. What is it with Hannity's weakness for Rove?
Hannity is a smart guy until Rove walks in the room, then he becomes a fawning, drooling imbecile.
One is Pepsi, the other Coke. If one has to go they both do. Weird Willy is a chameleon that can't be trusted. If Barky was governor of Massachusetts instead would it have been much different? It would have been Obamacare I, instead of Romneycare. At least we know which devil Barky is: a Marxist with the Democrat brand. With Weird Willy we get the same only the Republican brand gets the blame. Instead of sitting out this election I might have to vote for Barky to cancel out your vote.
What motivates Weird Willy to run for President? It isn't out of a love for America. He appears to have unbridled ambition driven by vanity. And he's a jerk. That isn't good.
It's all about the drama, the soap opera narrative for them. They're helping push up the outsiders now, trying to hook in people that are sympathetic to the David beating Goliath idea. Later on, they'll stress Romney's experience and acumen to show him as the "comeback kid," who rallies from behind to win the Big Game. And, of course, ultimately, they will be cheering Obama over Romney in a classic "Good Triumphs Over Evil" narrative. It's very simple once you step back and discern which storyline they're trying to feed us at the moment.
Although I agree with much of your post #56 I haven’t given up on Gingrich.
To me, right now, there are only 2 serious anti-Romney’s in the race: Cain and Gingrich.
Perry has a lot of money so he’ll stay in. The others will probably start to drop out fairly soon.
This is a northeastern liberal NYT poll, so you should probably take about 5 points off Mittens’ support.
That ticket has no balance. Cain needs a VP with foreign policy credentials, not business experience.
Cain/Romney
Interesting prediction.
I hadn’t thought of that as a possibility but I suppose you’re right.
I know. I agree with you. I’d prefer Bolton.
I figured you knew. :)
I want Bolton, too.
Myth and Perry are their own reality TV show, it is only going to get worse for these two.

Really embarrassing
Maybe Cain is even higher in the polls and they have to keep the difference in the narrow range? Who knows for sure.
I think my meaning may have been misconstrued here. I'm not laying out an impossible standard...My point was that the enemy and its media are looking for soundbites to wreck his candidacy.
You know what they say...if it`s in the Times it must be so
Yes. I am sick and tired of those pundits scooping the last shovel of dirt over Mr. Cain. Both of those two brain-dead bozos need to get off their butts and trek through the Midwest and west AND LISTEN to what is being said on local radio and TV.
Cain is kicking some butt because there is no BS in him... What you see is what you get, and people like that.
