It's a wine lover's nightmare - thousands of bottles of the world's finest grape juice crash on the floor, leading to a tsunami of undrinkable vino.
At Superior Discount Liquors in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, that disastrous scenario really did happen.
A 78ft long shelving unit suddenly becoming detached from its anchoring wall.
Standing four shelves high, a total of 6,810 bottles of wine and champagne smashed on the floor.
The liquor turned into a sea of red and broken glass. Managers at the store are stumped as to why or how it happened, but did admit the shelves are 31 years old.
Video at source.

Too bad there was no sound on these videos. I bet 6700 bottles breaking simultaneously is pretty impressive.

Good grief. I could see whether they got the driver out. Maybe the driver had been imbibing on wine from the place in Sheboygan where all the wine was spilt!

The stress on the fasteners was so great that one failed thereby over stressing the others and allowing collapse.
