'Do You Know Right From Wrong?' Last-Known Words Of Gadhafi

A bloodied and beaten Moammar Gadhafi asked the fighters who captured him "Do you know right from wrong?" in what could well have been the final words of the ousted Libyan dictator.

New video footage emerged Friday showing the former strongman apparently in his last moments, surrounded and pleading for his life, repeatedly telling the mob swarming around him, "What you are doing is forbidden in Islamic law."

One of the group is heard responding, "Shut up you dog," as the armed fighters fired celebratory bullets in the air.

The footage ends with Gadhafi telling them, "What you are doing is wrong ... Do you know right from wrong?"

International human rights groups, including Amnesty, and the UN human rights chief Navi Pillay have urged an investigation to clear up the facts surrounding Gadhafi's death. But the UN said it had not been contacted in relation to media reports that Gadhafi's wife had appealed for an international investigation into her husband's killing.

The manner of his demise seemed to matter little to the Libyans who celebrated through the night in preparation of a new dawn in the troubled North African country.

Gadhafi's death means the transitional government in Libya can avoid a long trial and proceed quickly with plans to declare the country "liberated" as soon as Saturday, and set up a new administration in the capital, Tripoli, without threat of an insurgency led by the former dictator.

He was quoting Joe Jackson?

They’re not talkin’ ‘bout right and left
They’re talkin’ ‘bout

Right and wrong - do you know the difference
Right and wrong - do you know the difference
‘Tween the right and the left and the east and the west
What you know and the things that you’ll never see

He should have offered to pay them.

Criticizing people who are about to kill you is counter productive.

I doubt the victims aboard Pan Am 103 had a chance to as Gadhafi if he knew right from wrong.

I was sitting in a car dealership, forced to watch CNN while waiting for a flat tire to be fixed. All the talking heads were looking a little embarrassed as they sought for various excuses for gunning Kaddafi down in cold blood after he surrendered.

They didn’t look any too happy about it, but they were not about to admit it. Videos of the corpse alternated with videos of the rebels and videos of fireworks going up over the city. Pretty ugly, if you ask me.

You know, a man like Quadaffi asking that question is ironic, however, I have a terrible feeling about what happened, that it’s part of a bigger plan in which the Obama and his buddies are involved.

Dunno what the aim is, and I hope I’m wrong, but my country seems to have gone Evil, and I no longer trust us at all.

Funny, when it’s HIS life on the line; it’s time to play the “Do you know right from wrong” game.

But, when he ordered the shelling of citizens in cities, the deaths of adversaries and the promotion of terrorism around the world, right and wrong didn’t matter.

I have no illusions about the fact that Muammar el-Qaddafi was a BAD GUY. However, I found the first-hand observations about Libya made by former British MI5 Agent Annie Machon at ChicagoNow.com quite interesting

QUOTE They’ve had free education, free health, they could study abroad. When they got married they got a certain amount of money. So they were rather the envy of many other citizens of African countries. Now, of course, since NATO’s humanitarian intervention the infrastructure of their country has been bombed back to the Stone Age. They will not have the same quality of life. Women probably will not have the same degree of emancipation under any new transitional government. The national wealth is probably going to be siphoned off by Western corporations. Perhaps the standard of living in Libya might have been slightly higher than it perhaps is now in America and the UK with the recession, UNQUOTE she said.

I heard that his last words were: "I need this like a hole in the head."

I really understand that relatives of Lockerbie victims wanted justice and could feel some sort of closure, but I humbly submit that the “rebels” were not killing Kaddafi on their behalf. Some Lockerbie relatives felt vindicated, but others felt no closure.

The gruesome videos, shown over and over, provide distraction from other news being pushed to the back burner. It is a “living in the moment” kind of story that leaves out inquiry into what type of government will replace the “horrible” dictator.

Look, Obama in 2008 was probably financed by Gaddafi through Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan. Dead men tell no tales!!! Same with OBL, our seals could have brought him out alive and we could have made him sing like a bird. Obama, like Adolf Hitler & Joe Stalin believed in murdering their friends and enemies. Meanwhile GW Bush, believed these types of evil people should be captured alive in order to get substantial information from them. America, Obama is not the friend nor leader of the USA, never was and never will be!!!

Good points there. I’m no Quadaffi fan by any means at all, but this type of thing is starting to worry me.

You know, start murdering people who other people generally would agree deserve to be murdered, but then move on to murdering -others-.

Savage, whom I am not really a big fan of, said if he were Bibi Netanyau, he would not eat at the white house, and I don’t think I would either.

For one thing, there is oil to be had, lots of it.
Britain and France have first dibs, but I think U.S. joined in partly for business reasons.
Of course, the Pinkos didn’t break out the “no blood for oil” signs in this case.

I also understand your suspicions of additional sinister designs.
