Realizing my assessments of these candidates are of no value to anyone but myself I ask for some help with your opinions. They will be greatly appreciated. I have watched all of the debates and done reading a plenty.
Ill take them in alphabetical order, here are my assessments, tell me where Im wrong:
Bachmann
I wish I new more about her, very little information available. She does not strike me a quick witted and when she tries to be she says foolish things like the 9% tax could rise to 90%. Now if she was to have said it could rise to 12 or 15 percent it would have been believable.
Cain
He changes his position like we change our shorts, daily. I would hate to go to the movies with this guy, by the time he decided on what seat to sit in the movie would be over. Cain is probably the only candidate we have that Obama would beat in a debate. Cain has little experience and when he tries to improvise he is terrible.
Gingrich
Now here is a man that is very quick witted and when he does so he makes sense. Until the last debate he was never caught with his drawers down. But apparently he is loaded down with personal baggage and has an extremely extravagant wife.
Huntsman
Im sure Obama and the Chinese love this guy. I see phony all the way.
Paul
I like his positions on a lot of things but he appears too soft on having a strong military. I agree with him on bringing the troops home immediately and getting our troops out of all those foreign lands that either dont need us or dont want us there.
Perry
Man, this guy went at Romney like a grizzly bear with a sore tooth. I like his spunk but when it comes to illegal aliens he has not a clue. Comparing an illegal alien working in a landscaping company to $100,000 handouts to illegals is ludicrous. Someone stick a fork in this man he is done.
Romney
I can tell by the tone on this website this man is not liked one bit. There is not enough meat left on this man to stick a fork in, you would be hard pressed to find enough meat left to make a stew.
Santorum
This man is the opposite of Paul when it comes to our military foreign presence. He hasnt figured out yet that Muslims hate Christians. He would keep us in Afghanistan and Iraq until these Muslims cut every one of our heads off.
Cain. He changes his position like we change our shorts, daily.

you must be watching a different movie.
I see you’re new here.
The most damaged candidate is the strongest, most experienced guy. Newt. The rest, especially Romney, are vulnerable to attack. Not the best raft of candidates. Is there anybody in the wings???
You must be a Libertarian, what have you been smoking?
Glad to help.
In 11-2012, which one of these Candidates will YOU choose to balance your future grandchildren’s Federal Debtbooks?
Many conservatives trust Cain because of his consistent conservatism and business experience.
Gingrich has been all over the map politically. His private life is undisciplined at best.
Romney and Perry are completely unprincipled, say anything, do anything types. Romney has multiplied his inherited wealth, but his business acumen is overrated.
Paul and Huntsman are not worthy of comment.

A retread?
report to admin.
Naaa...let him/her pretend we don’t get it.
To say Cain has little experience, shows what little you actually know........
Welcome aboard!
I guess you must be referring to the greatly-exaggerated 'in-state for illegal aliens' controversy. Hopefully, I can provide some clarity, but if not, please feel free to research the Texas law passed in the 77th legislature.
The law simply provides that a person who has been a resident of the State of Texas for 3 years (presumably paying State Sales Tax and State Property Tax which fund state education) will be granted in-state tuition rates regardless of what the yahoos in Washington D.C. call them.
Anybody qualifies for this, move to Texas for 3 years, pay the taxes, get in-state tuition.
I hope this helps.

I disagree with your assessment of Perry —going down the list (guns, abortion, gay marriage, environment, federal regulation, 10th amendment support), Perry’s track record is further to the right than anyone else’s talking points.
Perry’s baggage (Gardasil, Trans-Texas Corridor, “heartless”) merely reflect that he is not ‘perfect’.
In-state tuition for people who have resided in and paid taxes to Texas for 3 years is NOT AN ISSUE. It is something that Romneybots throw out there to dissuade voters from the fact the Perry is still the one PROVEN conservative in this race.
Bachmann is smart and a rising star. needs more time. Perry may be on meds or something for his back. Whatever it is he had a promising start but has fizzled out sort of like a 2011 version of Fred Thompson. He’s a good man but he can’t get it done. He’s toast. A deer in the headlights guy who looked pathetic in that spat with Romney in the debate.
Cain has the ball now. Yes he has a few problems like the stupid 9-9-9 plan and some mistatements and he even claimed he didn’t say things he clearly said. A few misteps but they’re minor thus far and not problematic if he watches his statements going forward. Read his positions on issues at his site. How can a conservative not agree with every single one of them? He is solid. However he has zero political experience. Political experience does matter because he won’t be a dictator CEO at a pizza company. He will have to wheel and deal with hundreds of politicians and world leaders.
Nevertheless I think Cain has the core foundational skills and common sense to grow in the job and get it done. I think given the cards we have been dealt he seems to be best one now to stop Romney. The only other possible option if Cain flounders is Perry. Newt is great in the debates but I can’t see him winning primaries.
Wow, that is kind of bad since that is the center-piece of his campaign. It really is the only policy he put in print.
From what I have seen, his responses to all the other items (guns, abortion, gay marriage, environment, 10th Amendment) have been rather squishy at best. I have heard him on both sides of these items, and he ultimately falls back to his talking points rather than elaborating on his position.
This is my biggest hold-back for Cain. For these issues, I cannot discern a difference between Cain and Romney.
I like pancakes, especially when they are nice and hot so the butter melts right in with the maple syrup.
Clearly Perry (and you) don't realize that it is an issue.
Fully 69% of Americans in the latest IBD/TIPP poll say they dont favor states giving in-state college tuition to ILLEGAL aliens while charging higher fees for legal, out-of-state residents. Just 22% support such a policy. 73% of Republicans are opposed vs. 20% in favor.
Independents have even stronger views: 74%-15%. Even Democrats are strongly opposed 58%-32%.
In fact, a majority of every major subgroup opposes giving illegals in-state tuition rates men and women, rich and poor, urban and rural. Hispanics, who have more conflicted views over ILLEGAL immigration than is commonly known, are opposed, 54%-28%. Blacks, who often see ILLEGAL aliens as rivals for jobs, are the most opposed, 80%-12%.
It is something that Romneybots throw out there to dissuade voters from the fact the Perry
I am not a RomneyBot. I am not a Romney supporter of any kind. I could never vote for a pro-abortion candidate. And 69% of Americans are not RomneyBots either nor are 73% of Republicans and 74% of Independents.
Taxpayer subsidized handouts for ILLEGAL aliens may have been accepted in Texas but voters across these United States do not want it. One needn't be a RomneyBot to see that.
What about the vaunted 10th Amendment?
Education is a state issue. Period.
The 77th Texas Legislature passed that bill with a veto-proof majority. It would not have mattered if Perry choose not to sign it. That he did merely illustrates that he did not have national office in mind at the time.
BTW, many other states beside Texas have the same residency language.
I’ll give you my take on each of the candidates.
Bachmann - I think she’s sincerely conservative, but she is not presidential material. She comes across to me a little bit naïve and would be a better asset in Congress than in the White House.
Cain - He’s very quick on his feet, though sometimes he has to dislodge his foot from his mouth in order to say something. However, he has operational experience that all past presidents, who were successful, have had. However, I think he’s would be a good team builder, who would build a strong cabinet and he’d actually be willing to listen to many voices before comeing to a decision and, once he came to a decision, he doesn’t seem like the sort of man that would then waiver from it.
Gingrich - I respect the man’s abilities and intelligence, but I cannot respect the man. I don’t believe that he has enough respect for the presidency to be worthy of the position. However, he would be a definite asset to whichever position in cabinet that the President would deem him fit for.
Huntsman - Liberal. Good thing he has no hope and no prayer of advancing beyond the debates.
Paul - I like him. I’m not a Pauline, but I like him. I hope that he advances far. Very Conservative and very fiscally responsible. Another fine asset to the cabinet.
Perry - another good conservative. He has what it takes to be president. He may be a little weak on immigration, but I do not believe he would throw open the south border for the sake of gathering votes. And I think he would give the states the tools they needed to do what needs to be done in regards to immigration.
Romney - when a candidate is slick and is capable of metamorphising his poition to fit whichever conversation he is in at the moment, he cannot be trusted. I think he’s very much a social democrat and his election would be a continuation of Democratic policies. Even if he could beat Obama, it would be like Obama never left town.
Santorum - I know the gay community just loves the man. :)
I’d like to see him run for congress again.
Between Perry and Cain, I think Perry edges Cain ever so slightly in terms of who I think would be the better president.
