(CNSNews.com) - Vice President Joe Biden said Wednesday that “people died” and “people’s homes burned to the ground,” because the Bush administration allowed “God-awful Ponzi schemes” on Wall Street.

Speaking at a rally to promote a piecemeal provision of President Obama’s jobs proposal, Biden told police and firefighters that the budget shortfalls of state and local governments were not attributable to state and local governments.

“Those of you know it’s not really the fault of your mayor or your government,” the vice president said. “Some are more sympathetic than others, but the bottom line is they don’t have the money because of this God-awful mess we got put in.

“In many cities the result has been--and it’s not unique--murder rates are up, robberies are up, rapes are up. And folks, there’s a simple reason for that. It’s been a perfect storm out there from the God-awful Ponzi schemes that the last outfit allowed Wall Street to engage in, resulted in this gigantic collapse of the financial industry.”

I agree with everything and understand your frustration.

I am pissed off that when I mention issues like fast and furious, the green energy pay off scam, Holder, DOJ they all turn round and say they had not heard anything about it and then ask me if I got it right because if this was going on then the local news would have mentioned it.

When I tell them that their local news CBS, NBC, ABC is biased and defending zero they agree but you can see it in their face that they are not sure and then an hour later dismiss it..

I am afraid that the majority today are just plain dumb and that in itself suits the media the left which is the same really.

Even if I take my dog tot he vet, or stand in line at a store I try and make a comment about this admin, zero etc.
I say it just enough for the person behind me and in front of me to hear.

Hopefully some of them have actually had a brain and gone home to check what I say out.

I did however say what is this crap in a hospital waiting room once and two ladies next to me said “what do you expect this is CNN”

It restored my faith a little that night.

Texas homes burned in the Bastrop wildfire because a tanker plane loaded with fire retardant stayed on the tarmac in Austin because its pilot lacked two hours of federally mandated sleep time. Those whose homes burned to the ground because of this federal regulation got much less sleep than that.

When fire fighters from all over Texas drove all night on September 4 as the fires raged, they arrived in Bastrop only to be told by the U.S. Forestry Service that they could not help fight the fire because they were not certified by this agency to fight forest fires.

These are the same type of disgusting government regulations that Solzhenitsyn described in “The Gulag Archepelago”, his classic description of the oppressive central government in the USSR.

Recently I was talking to a guy and gal at a fair event and they had never heard of Ayers, ACORN. I asked them where did they get their news and they said "every evening we settle down to watch the evening news" When I told them that is why they know nothing about these two the couple asked where I got my news. I told them that I get it form the internet and some times FOX but I always check after how correct they are on those issues. Right away they said FOX tells lies don't they but then they admitted they had never watched it.

The passing of years has convinced me that his reaction was provoked because at the time I was very tall and slim and was considered to be rather handsome. He, on the other hand, was of average height or slightly below, fat and nobody’s idea of good looking.

Jealously is like a cancer - it eats away at logic, reason, common sense. Their emotions take over and it produces just like you said....

They only do this because they believe the majority of Americans are now blithering idiots. Who is going to prove them wrong? I’m sorry but day to day experience only leads me to believe they are right, most people I talk to are incapable of real logic, they can only seize onto some emotional belief and then spout whatever pops into their heads to try to justify that belief.

Billionaire business mogul Penny Pritzker is a member of one of America’s richest families and was the Finance Chair for the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.  It was Pritzker that led the prolific, and illegal, fundraising that helped power Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.  She was the chair of Chicago-based Superior Bank’s board for five years.  Pritzker was into subprime lending before it became all the rage starting in around 2000.  Prtizker's chairmanship was to concentrate on sub prime lending, principally on home mortgages, but for a while in subprime auto lending, too, after the Pritzkers' bank acquired its wholesale mortgage organization division, Alliance Funding, in December 1992. Back then they called it "predatory lending." Superior Bank went belly up in 2001 with over $1 billion in insured and uninsured deposits; 1,406 depositors lost much of their life savings.  This collapse came amid harsh criticism of how Superior’s owners promoted sub-prime home mortgages. On Nov. 1 [2002] the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. pointed the finger at Ernst & Young, Superior’s auditor, in a fraud suit filed in federal court here.  But that action came two months after a group of Superior depositors accused the bank’s owners and directors, including two members of the Pritzker family, of racketeering....
