An employee at the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida was asked to leave the premises for refusing to remove an American flag pin from his jacket on Wednesday. Sean May, who has worked for more than two years at the company, now faces the harsh reality of losing his job as the front desk supervisor.
May, in an exclusive interview with Townhall.com, explained that following his weekly staff meeting on Wednesday -- he was unexpectedly asked by the HR Director to remove the insignia from his uniform. When he protested the policy, he was given two options: Remove the pin or go home.
They have a website and a FB page.
They have the right to do this, but it’s wrong and we have the right to boycott or let them know what we think.
Proof that America is saturated with communists.

Yep. we have a right to make it a point not to do business with them.
At least he’s not forced to wear a red star. It’s the reason I don’t shop at Macy’s. I don’t care how long they had that logo, I just get a queasy feeling when I see it.
You were on the Skipjack? I was on the Scamp from 86-88.
Go Galt.
If the employees are not permitted to wear any type of pins, buttons, etc., on their uniforms, then they may have a point. However, if they specifically objected to the fact that it was the American flag (because “it might offend some patrons”), that’s another story. I’d like to know more about this incident.
As much as I think it is our right and duty to boycott this hotel, it is their 100% right to establish any uniforms or dress codes they wish.
In the meantime, some (meaning a BUNCH) of emails to the establishment and its parent company is certainly in order.
As potential customers we certainly can express our displeasure at their dress code.
Oldbammy needs to be fired then.
I am sending an official request to the NRA to request a national boycott of their facility. I posted this on their FB page also.
Right its the dress code; Yeppers! I worked at one place where pin lapels were illegal or frowned upon as not being part of the uniform. One dummy there whom no one said anything to had 10 of them, but then again, this one volunteered for overtime and weekend and shiite shifts galore, so the buttons went along with his usefulness.
Everyone else though, no buttons/pins.
Cool.

I think I more or less said all of that.
Watch the video. What a great guy!
People are responding on their FB page. Lets help!
Whaddaya bet the HR weenie got a single complaint and decided to overreact?
Based on the article the policy was arbitrary and unenforced...
The owner will rue the day.....not only can the employee win a eeoc suit, many people will no longer spend their money there
