Other than the part of the evening where Michele Bachmann compared Herman Cains tax plan to the work of Satan, the Washington Post/Bloomberg Republican debate was fairly uneventful.
In fact, it reminded me why I dislike Jane Austen novels. It takes so long to get to what seems a foregone conclusion, and the protagonists always irritatingly fail to understand that the man who is good for them is in fact superior to the the temporarily exciting fling who wants them to run off with him in a carriage.
Mitt Romney has stopped running circles around the rest of the field and is now orbiting them several levels up. He seemed mature. He seemed awake. The fact that these characteristics set him apart tells you how bad things have gotten.

Let’s just say we did and don’t. In other words, not even close.
All the north east media are trying to get this man to be our nominee and we need to send a clear message to them this time that we are fed up of them picking our man.
Romney can piss off as he will be no better than Romney and I see even the homosexuals are not against Romney that much either which speaks volumes as they know their marriage, overturn DOMA, don’;t ask will be OK
If the media want him....we DON’T!
Milquetoast anyone?
Rush said the picture was Obama at a Pittsburgh union hall.
Yup. It was on Drudge this morning. This dope can’t even fill a lefty union hall 50%. He is dead man walking.
Yeah, just get in line and shut up already. You’ll vote Mitt and like it!!!
Why not? Look how swell it worked out last time.
We’re the enemy, doncha know:

I would remind everyone that 4 years ago, Giuliani was sure thing for the nomination.
I usually have World News Now (ABC) on late at night while waiting for my husband to return for work (I usually watch one “round” of “news” as it repeats for hours late night - hey it’s background noise, and better than infomercials at least! LOL).
Anyway, I noticed last night that the male anchor kept saying that Romney would be the eventual candidate. Drives me crazy because it’s exactly what we are fighting against... The DEMS want Romney, the MEDIA wants Romney, the GOP Elite want Romney. As far as I’m concerned that’s all the more reason for THE PEOPLE to NOT want Romney. And, that’s ignoring all the negatives of him as a candidate. Look at his supporters and that will tell you most of what you need to know... Romney represents more of the same political BS that has gotten this country to the point it is today. Based on Romneycare ALONE he shouldn’t be anywhere NEAR the top, and shouldn’t even be ON the stage at ALL!
The Fat Lady hasn’t sung her last song (Hillary is silent)—The race aint over with yet! Lots can happen between now and then. Nice to know the Democrats like Mitt Romney—maybe he can run on their party. Rino Romney would be a poor choice but better than Obama—but that’s not saying much. Trump said if Romney ran he might go 3rd party—and, sad to say—I might think about voting for him. Lots can happen in the next few months and weeks. Obama might not run? Someone else might step in? We may suffer a serious 9-11 type attack? We may go to war? The economy might tank and we will all be starving?
Anything might happen.
As the article doesn’t mention Newt at all it’s hard to take it seriously. He certainly appeared as awake and alert as Romney if not more so.
Romney is a RINO who is responsible for tax money funding thousands of abortions through RomneyCare. I will never, ever, EVER vote for him.
It figures that the Washed-out-Post would have a writer who disdains Jane Austin. Tells me all I need to know about the article...

I actually agree with them we should absolutely nominate MiTT Romney as a DEMOCRAT running against OBAMA in the Marxist Primary. I don’t see anyone else lining up to unseat the Kenyan on the Democrat side, so why not Romney??
Who?
