While the battles over the budget underscore how polarized Americans have become, there is one issue that people across the political spectrum agree on: They oppose giving in-state tuition to illegal immigrants.
Fully 69% of Americans in the latest IBD/TIPP poll say they dont favor states giving in-state college tuition to illegal residents while charging higher fees for legal, out-of-state residents. Just 22% support such a policy.

Rememeber, the Federal Government says every state MUST provide for illegals from K-12.
They should be arrested and deported the minute they apply for college in the USA.
More importantly, what percentage of likely GOP primary voters are against it? My guess is it is a lot higher than 69%.
Remember, the Federal Goverment say no state MUST provide for illegals in state college tuition.
You heartless B-tard. /sarcasm
This is really a Federal Issue. As long as the Fed says every state has to educate illegals K-12....you just cut these kids off....kids that actually worked in school and graduated and lived in your state for 3 years. And part of that law says they have to work towards citizenship, too.
Heartless!!!!! /sarc
But almost all do...I believe our state doesn’t even ask status unless you’re going for government loans.
Everyone I know is 100% against it.Handful of states passing dream acts will lead to other states being pressed to pass their own dream act. This is just the start of it
Libtards would argue that kids of crimaliens that are born here should get free tuition because they’re automatically citizens.
Nevermind CA is broker than broke as are the leftard states in favor of this crap.
The funniest part about this is illegals get a free educations but the school districts are cracking down and fining people from neighboring towns using fraudulent addresses to go to better schools. Moral of the story it's better to break into a country and do what you want because you get more without any penalty.
Perry and Romney have lost touch with the 99%, and I ain’t talking the OWS 99%.
This is the reason Palin’s popularity lives, and Cain’s popularity rises.
Advice to DC: Get outside the Beltway and get in Touch, and when a 1,000,000 Tea Party types show up in DC, pay attention, or 63 more DC replacement workers will be on their way in 2012
Here in upstate NY at my childhood school, all the students are bused in (and they're black) and all the neighborhood kids are bused out...(they're black, too). You figure it out.
“Enrollment data from the Texas Education Agency show that this school year Hispanic students reached 50.2 percent of Texas’ 4.9 million public school children”

I’m certainly not saying all are illegal, but a huge percent are. Our tax dollars at play.
Never mind the tuition issue - if they’re in the country illegally, why are they even allowed to enroll in our colleges to begin with?

Federal Government.
it is, mentioned in article. Three states now give scholarship monies ALSO: NM,TX,CA.
I paid my out-of-state tuition with a big loan.
The DREAM act movement is a ruling class slap to the collective country class. Giving precious college funds to illegals is almost as insane as intentionally selling AR’s to gangs.
Herman Cain is my dream act... I doubt Cain would allow illegals in-state tuition or AR’s to gangs.
We all oppose it - almost all of us - dems and conservatives, but still our ‘leaders’ don’t fight it. Could pay-offs be involved?
