Herman Cain and Michele Bachmann dodged questions Sunday whether Romney is a Christian. The issue arose during the just-completed Values Voters Summit in Washington, exposing tensions among evangelicals over Romney's religious faith, as we reported today. Dallas Baptist pastor Robert Jeffress kicked things off by endorsing Rick Perry and declaring that Mormonism is a cult and Romney is not a Christian.
Speakers went back and forth on the issue -- and Romney himself weighed in, denouncing "poisonous speech" that doesn't help the nominating process. Asked about Jeffress' comments, Perry said he doesn't believe Mormonism is a cult.

ANd I have to ask what does this have to do with the price of tea in China?
I think they are mostly nice people, but they are not Christians.
They believe they are little gods themselves or some other nonsense which would align them more with secular humanism.
If he was a Christian, he wouldn't be Mormon now would he?
Rightfully so. Just like with the faux attack on Perry about this issue. This is a complete non issue being interjected into the Campaign by the Leftist media in a vain attempt to divert all attention from the issues.
So?
Not exactly. They wouldn’t answer a loaded question. Good on them.
Blog posting are not news.
An atheist was walking through the woods.
“What majestic trees! What powerful rivers! What beautiful animals!” he said to himself.
Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him.
He turned to look . . . and saw a 9-foot grizzly bear charge towards him.
He ran as fast as he could along the path. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was closing on him. He looked over his shoulder again, and the bear was even closer and then he tripped and fell!
Rolling over to pick himself up, the man found the bear was right on top of him ..... reaching towards him with its left paw ....
and raising the right paw, as if to strike ....
At that instant the atheist cried out, “Oh my God!”
Time Stopped ....
The bear froze ....
The forest went silent ....
A bright light shone upon the man, and a voice came out of the sky ....
“You deny my existence for all these years, you teach others I don’t exist and even credit creation to cosmic accident ....
Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer?”
The atheist looked directly into the light ....
“It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian, now ....
but, perhaps you could make the BEAR a Christian?”
.... A pause ....
“Very well,” said the voice ....
The light went out ....
The sounds of the forest resumed ....
Then the bear dropped his right arm ....
brought both paws together ....
bowed his head and spoke ....
“Lord, bless this food, which I am about to receive!!!”
He's a socialist, supported mostly by his implementation of romneycare and other liberal travesties, which is inherently anti-Christ.
I would say it is not the business of Christians to be judging the relationship of other people to Christ. That’s between Christ and the individual. No one knows what goes on in someone else’s soul or how Christ may consider him.
If Mormons believe that Jesus is the son of G-d, then they are Christians.
Why don’t they call themselves Christian?
Thats a question Mormons should answer. Not Bachmann, or Cain.

Good for them! Crowley, one of FOX’s cutie pie clones was obviously trying to lure them into no no territory! The little minx!
LOL! Good one — it’s probably an old one, but I never heard it before.
Democraps won’t say Obama is a muslim, so what’s the difference?
Just that Christians don’t want to vote for non Christians or someone belonging to a cult. You may not agree with the significance of the issue, but you can bet to a lot of people it matters.
Egggsactly! We have a Marxist Moose Limb in the 1/2 white hut and the stupid Republicans are being led down the trail of contesting one another's' religious beliefs. What simpletons. Get on message you idiots. Tell 'em what Newt told 'em.
