OccupyWallStreet - Not
Myself

A little tourists' cornucopia from the big, bad OccupyWallStreet thingey. I took the images below on my way to work this morning - discarded most of 'em cause they were just too pathetic - and thought I'd share them. My absolute fave is that earnest-looking upper middle class white kid in the bottom 4 pix (my "vignettes") - especially the last one, where he's so neatly folding his Buzz Lightyear towel - probably still smells like the Downy fabric softener mommie used when she washed it for him.
Please feel free to borrow as you wish, and to editorialize as you wish - but only so long as you isolate, polarize, and ridicule.
Lastly, just a warning - these pics are the small(er) versions of my originals. If you click on one, it will open up a larger version in a new window. Be forewarned, however: the larger files are about 1.1MB to 1.4MB in size.

Enjoy! I might bring my videocam with me tomorrow morning and stroll through the "encampment" like some awestruck tourist type.

That is it? That is the “supermassive mega uprising that will collapse the sysytem”?

Hey, O, that’s awesome!!! Please video take them and bring us the truth. I keep hearing ABC spouting ‘thousands’ there. Looks like a ‘p*ss poor’ turnout.
I understand the cold weather is on the way. ;-)

This crap always shows up to ‘protest’ something-—between fighting a war in WW2 and working to feed my family afterwards , I never found time to ‘protest’ or ‘demonstrate’ for b/s causes-—cheers

You got it. They get a bit more oomph into their little crybaby "marches" around downtown - usually from the union thugs who've been ordered out into the streets to join them - parasites of a feather stick together and all that - but yes, that is basically the sum and substance of "OccupyWallStreet." Worse yet, they don't even seem to know where Wall Street really is; I put together this little visual aid to point out just how far off the mark they are:

The media is complicit in magnifying the numbers in peoples’ minds to a vast hoarde of thousands. Looks like a line to buy concert tickets.

Yup, which means the real down-and-out types - the street bums - will be showing up to "share the warmth" pretty soon. I wonder how long these pretty-boy trustafarians are going to put up with Stinky Pete - and his pet lice and other assorted vermin - spooning with 'em for warmth.

Seems to be more of the cheap, blue, made in China tarps there than occupiers.

That you for the great pics and commentary. Please do take your video camera with you. You are providing a valuable public service. Your reportage is more insightful and honest than anything the LSM are offering.

Yup. Thank God for capitalism, otherwise they'd be toughing it out under dirty old cast-off blankets and soiled second-hand mattresses (with bedbugs, no doubt), and paying twice the price for that dubious privilege, too.

ConEd should cut the electricity to wherever they are charging their computers and phones.
Cut them off the ‘net, this silliness will collapse. They’ll crawl home to mom’s basement or their dorms or whatever.

Well, I suggest renaming the event as “Occupy a Park in the Vicinity of Wall Street.” Not nearly as catchy, to be sure.

I'm going to try and get some pics (or some vid) of these characters using netbooks, laptops, cell phones, smart phones, whatever, tomorrow, just to expose the hypocrisy: but for capitalism, none of those gadgets would exist; we'd probably still be lugging around the so-called "satellite" phones from the early 80s and a service contract would cost you several thousand a year.

Thanks for the pix of the “poor, starving, huddled masses.”
BTW, Is this the FIRST Octoberfest for the Anti-Capitalists?
If so, I think each succeeding Octoberfest should have an ever-increasingly stylish theme. Zombie is okay for this year, but that costume function should be held at 1600 Pennsylvania, in the District of Corruption.
BTW, BTW, why not verbally record, and later post, the underlying reason for the sleep-overs, other than meeting chicks, of course.

Meanwhile, the Chinese and Russians and Indians (India) diligently work at their desks in school and work, as they increase their nation’s prestige as the US squanders what’s left of ours.

Most of these people are not interested in meeting chicks. Except other chicks, of course.
