Cain or Bachmann, I can’t stomach Perry. At this point I would say Cain is hard-charging, benifitting greatly from Palin’s departure, and a perfect antidote to Obama in the general...
Cain it is, unless Sarah comes to her senses.
The best shot? Right now, I think it’s Cain.
The conservatives? Bachmann, Santorum, and Cain.
Perry deserves his own Truth File.
I dont see any problem in shuttering both and many other unconstitutional agencies if we have a conservative constitutionalist president and congress willing to do so.Herman Cain spoke of an attitude adjustment for the EPA, following that with incentives to develop domestic oil, i.e., drill baby drill.
In debate he will take Obama to school as to how business gets done in the real and Free World; show the Alinsky bullhorn-teleprompter how the cow ate the cabbage.
Were Herman Cain to bring along Sarah Palin as vice president or Secretary of Energy, it's all good.
Herman Cain reverses the Left brainwashing--a term he uses. He is the living proof. His curiam vitae is broad, from computers to banking to entrepreneurship.
Michelle Bachmann stumbled with Ed Rollins' cheapshot at Sarah Palin, and Michelle kissing Romney is a difficult optic, read, BarfCon Delta.
Santorum registers as Rick Lazio-weak.
Newt will ever be on a loveseat with Hillary or Pelosi, and trembling with Climate Doom.
Romney delenda est--and he died on-air when needled by Des Moines Jan Mickelson's WHO 1040 AM in re the candidate's faith--
--the unflappable Romney became paranoid and hysterical.
Rick Perry showed how Bush and comprehensive immigration reform (amnesty, open borders) lost the Congress in the 2006 elections.
His "heart" remark was the iceberg ripping six watertight compartments. Can he show that what he meant is he needs the Federal Government to enforce existing law, to do its consitutional duty?
The establishment took a blow to its solar plexus when Chris Christie opted to finish his sandwich.
He's about as conservative as Romney.
Cain, or in the alternative, Perry, working in concert for the American Republic at the time of its existential crisis can beat Romney and Obama.
And I would think Michelle Bachmann could best serve that cause by staying in the House, taking Boehner's job so he can golf more and compromise less.
Compromise, hell.
Most important point you missed. He has never bowed to Mecca, and never will.
Hotair.com released their October Candidate Survey Results on October 1. The polling reflected the preferences in two different questions, one that included Governor Palin as an option, and one that did not. The results were astonishing. With Governor Palin out of the race, Herman Cain took it in a landslide:
Hot Air Candidate Survey Results: October Edition (October 1)
Your preferred presidential candidate:
Cain 39%
Palin 32%
Perry 12%
Romney 5%
Bachmann 1%
Your preference of the declared presidential candidates (Palin not an option):
Cain 58%
Perry 16%
Romney 8%
Bachmann 3%

As a very outspoken border fence advocate, as much as I hate to admit it, this is a salient point. It is a terrible desert, and cows need water (not to mention wildlife). But how do we guarantee ongoing defense without it? electronic surveillance is wiped out by defunding it... the stroke of a pen and it is gone. Boots on the ground - same thing... been there done that.
Maybe I would trust them more if 'boots on the ground' included a few bases - Once installed, there is a certain economy around bases which cause them to be hard to close... Move the desert warfare guys down there permanently... Maybe then there would be lasting boots on the ground.
At this point, I’m for Cain. Usually, the more I find out about a candidate, the less I like them. The more I learn about Cain, the better qualified he looks.
If you mess with Israel, you're messing with the US Q: What do you think about the Palestinian Authority bringing their bid for statehood to the United Nations?
CAIN: It starts with an extension of the Reagan philosophy of peace through strength. My philosophy would extend that to peace through strength and clarity. This administration has not made it clear how it stands with Israel. When I was in Israel last month, the deputy prime minister made it shockingly, chillingly clear that, given everything that's going on, that Israel will defend itself. I would also make it clear to all of the other people in the world, that if you mess with Israel, you're messing with the United States of America. We will stand solidly behind Israel. If in fact it was clear to the Palestinians, where the US stood, they might have had second thoughts about trying to pull such a move without negotiating with Israel. Foreign policy should include bombs & bullets AND economics Q: You said in June, "The way you stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is for us to get serious about a real energy-independent strategy." Do you really think that more domestic oil production in this country is going to convince the mullahs in Tehran not to pursue a nuclear weapon?
A: I believe that our energy strategy is directly related to national security, as well as stopping Iran in their efforts. The head of Iran has said that he wants to wipe Israel off of the face of the Earth. I take that seriously. That being said, there's more to foreign policy than bombs and bullets. There's bombs and bullets and economics. If we maximize all of our energy resources in this country, we can become a player on the world market. As the price o oil goes down, it puts an economic squeeze on Iran. This is why I believe we should have a serious energy-independent strategy. That's what I meant by using our energy resources, not just oil, but all of our resources to become energy independent. Source: Iowa Straw Poll 2011 GOP debate in Ames Iowa , Aug 11, 2011
YES! I think the next poll is going to be even better news for Cain.
Neither side would want to wall themselves off from river access and put it on their side, and there is no way to put one down the middle of a river.
Now, Canada isn't Mexico, but it is still the same problem of a river border.
So you’re being sarcastic regarding the protesting of “Anyone but Obama” when that “anyone” is Romney?
Cain
I have no doubt.
Michigan's border with Canada is mostly the Great Lakes, but that only reinforces your point. They are talking about a border fence on the northern border, when really the two places they cannot control (the Great Lakes and the Rockies) with a fence completely negate the purpose of a fence. All of the smuggling and alien entry is through those places anyway.
But, we are left with the very same issue: How to get real border control outta these chooches?
If Cain is to be the nominee, he'll need a senior Republican household name on the ticket with him, preferably someone with long service in the Senate for "gravitas". (Last time that word got tossed around a lot was when the MediaRats were talking GOP Establishmentarians into backing Dole -- and then sniggering all the way to the bank as the Stupid Party fell for it.)
I'm also doubtful about Rubio's citizenship status. I think he may not be the constitutional "natural-born citizen" that Article II requires of the Presidency.
Deffinitly not Romney, Santorum, Gingrich
I will go for Cain, but I think it will be fruitless.
Sarah...It’s a shame, she could have been a contender. Seriously, I think she is the only one who could stop Rommney.
The catch n release has to go too. Texas catches them, turns them over to INS who promptly turn them loose.
Stop him? <snort!> She'd have shredded him, and his blue-haired, white-shoe backers, too. She's the one I was looking to, to clean out the Augean stables that are the upper reaches of the Gay Oldmoney Party. None of the others, I think, will kill that octopus. And that includes Cain, about whom I have fears that he will be sucked in and chewed up like a graduation-dance ingenue. I mean, I hope not, but that's what I think right now.
We can always pray for unexpected Good Surprises later -- a brokered convention, for example. Can you imagine what that would be like, with a deadlocked convention and the MSM gloating and high-fiving their little Stalinist shower-buddies in their skyboxes? Now imagine Sarah walking out on that stage. </pipedream> Ah, me.
