Packing piles of sound equipment into two old beat up Ford Station Wagons, traveling miles on Snowy New England Roads, getting lost trying to find the venue in the “rough section” of a depressed New Hampshire Milltown, Playing the Blues for four to five solid hours for an audience that wanted Country (or Disco), and therefore dodging eggs and beer bottles,Fighting the 300 pound bartender for $200.00 to be split five ways, Coming out to find the cars have been vandalized, loading the equipment and driving home in the snow, unloading and bringing the drums, amps, keyboard, and guitars up to the third floor walkup, falling into bed at 3:00AM, and getting up for the 9-5 the next morning.
Repeat the following weekend if you’re lucky.
