Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is turning up the heat on Eric Holder, demanding the attorney general come forward and at least admit he knew about Fast and Furious long before he told Congress he learned about the gun program.
The chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform said on Wednesday that Holder failed to properly answer questions during a May House Judiciary Committee hearing about when he first learned about the controversial gun program.

“Wanna bet? Hell get off.”
I bet $10 that nothing will happen to Holder. It is a bet that I want to lose, but I don’t want to flush $10 down the toilet.
Get him Issa, like a Pitbull....chomp down and don’t let go.
That’s what I was thinking. He can make no admission without admitting to perjury.
He aint THAT stupid.
Have the investigation and if Bush is guilty , Lock him and Obama in the same cell.
You should imagine how conservative patriots felt in the 90s after watching congress let Clinton skate for his many crimes.
It’s the duty of those of us who lived through that travesty of justice at the highest level of government educate those about how far into tyranny we have slid as a country.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
These hearings will not amount to any actual punishment for Obama and Holder.
Bush was no friend of gun owners tho he knew enough not to push it. I am no fan at all of Illegal loving Bush but do not think he was a crook.
Lamar Smith was asked did he think Holder committed perjury.
Of course he said he wasn’t alleging perjury. You simply do not say, ahead of an investigation, yes, I’m alleging perjury.
Smith said Holder answered one way, and documents that have come to Congress show something different to be true, and the conflict between the documents and Holder’s answer needs to be investigated.
Perjury is a crime. It is very specific in statute as to what factual situation and what kind of evidence is needed to make that case. Lamar Smith is an attorney and a Congressman of many, many years experience. He knows how to proceed without appearing to have concluded that Holder committed a crime before an investigation even takes place.
What he is saying, bottomline, there’s enough here to warrant an investigation. Let’s go forward with one, and then react to whereever the investigation leads.
He is acting properly. Believe it.
There’s NO WAY holder would ever go to the slammer. As a matter of fact, there’s NO WAY he would ever go to trial. The only one’s who can prosecute him would be his Justice Dept, and remember, he is black, and his Justice Dept doesn’t prosecute blacks, no matter what they do wrong.
Yes, we will have a Thanksgiving Turkey served up with all the trimmings.
Holder has a dilemma...he can say he did not understand the question (when he already knew what was to be asked so he would admit being unprepared) or he can say he forgot (thereby saying he did not review any records before he was asked a question he knew would be asked). Either way he comes out as incomptent. Meanwhile, Nero continues to fiddle away as the rest of his henchmen grind down the US.
Naw, Obama would pardon Holder before letting him do time. But I look for a resignation from Holder before Thanksgiving.

Has the pardon ever been used to execute justice?

I don’t think Bush was a crook either.
Basically Democrat are trying to drag Bush into this mess as a defense.
What I am saying is Let it all hang out, investigate hard and lets get the real culprit, Obama.
Holder needs to be asked that question (and many others) while under oath.
Good thing all the other Republicans are bringing attention to this.
Good thing they are not spineless, gutless cowards.
Whoops, that was a typo. Meant to say:
Too bad they are all spineless, gutless cowards, from Boehner to McConnell on down.
>>Just like that GOP congress and president went after Sandy Berger for stealing and destroying secret documents during the 911 investigation.<<
Exactly. Mitch McConnell made up a comical “poem” about it but did nothing.
The useless fool.
I other words, just admit he lied under oath and we’ll forget all about it.
He’ll never admit that. He’s part of an administration of cowards.
