New audio: NC governor struck serious tone on suspending congressional elections
The Daily Caller ^ | 09/28/2011 | Matthew Boyle

If it was a joke, North Carolina Democratic Governor Bev Perdue needs to polish her delivery.

Newly released audio contradicts the claims of Perdue’s press team that her call Tuesday for suspending Congressional election was a joke or hyperbole. In the recording, her tone is matter-of-fact and her comments are part of a serious speech.

Do they have a recall process there?

I was annoyed there was no video or audio—but these days, there always is!

This was no joke.

She is as seditious and treasonous as possible.

If she tried to suspend elections, guess who would end up suspended?

It was a trial balloon. You darn well know they will try it if they think they can get away with it.

Couple this with former Obama Budget Chief Peter Orzag in the New Republic who has pegged the root of our problems as being “too much democracy”.

Republicans should call on the FBI to investigate whether this is the opinion of one person or if there is a group of people working towards this end.

This is what happens when they stop following their script ,they say what they really think. Now they’ll be doing a lot of damage control.

Her comments only became a ‘joke’ after the barrage of complaints that came in immediately after she made the recommendation.

Spin. Circling the wagons. Duck and cover!

Maybe she attended the John Kerry School of Joke Telling.

Whatever, she found out what ‘INCOMING’ means.

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”

While she is a stupid twit for saying such things - and should be arrested if she made any such plan to do such a thing - it does not rise to the level of treason as defined by the US Constitution.

Yes, she didn't come up with this one on her own. But she must not be very bright if she actually uttered it in public.

I agree but the country has gone so soft, we ought to settle for a recall.

I’m quite fearful that before November 2012 comes, these people are going to find a way to prevent us from voting their asses out, because that is exactly what’s going to happen, and they damn well know it.

I think 2012 is going to be a very interesting year, for lack of a better word >_>

This buffoon is up for re-election in 2012...if we're allowed to hold elections :)

The person who almost beat her last election is going to run against her, again. This should help his campaign tremendously!

Couple this with former Obama Budget Chief Peter Orzag in the New Republic who has pegged the root of our problems as being “too much democracy”.

Orzag - So what to do? To solve the serious problems facing our country, we need to minimize the harm from legislative inertia by relying more on automatic policies and depoliticized commissions for certain policy decisions. In other words, radical as it sounds, we need to counter the gridlock of our political institutions by making them a bit less democratic.

Seems like boy king is already using this mechanism. His new meme is that "The GOP Congress is Obstructionists and therefore I have to take the action on my own to save America." All the while he ignores Harry Reid a DEMONRAT who runs the Senate for the RAT party, and the DB LSM play right along with the propaganda. This morning I have already heard two interviews where this meme was argued - the GOP is obstructing Obozo's Joba Bill. It is nothing more than 2012 propaganda to demonize the Republicn Party, since there is no GOP candidate yet the RATS have to run against the Congress. I bet a poll of most sheeple in America would tell us that they believe the Congress is run by the GOP and trying to make Obozo FAIL.

You should have heard the small handful of people (2 or 3) on WBT yesterday defending Gov Purdooo's remarks. Solid evidence that liberalism is a cult.

I never bought the joke angle now the audio shows neither her own tone nor the audience reaction supports the joke claim.

This should damage her.
