BALTIMORE Forty Maryland Republican legislators and party leaders Tuesday endorsed Gov. Rick Perry for president.
Rick Perry is the candidate who not only can lead our party to victory in 2012 hes the candidate who will get America working again, said State Senator Chris Shank. With more than a million jobs gained in Texas on his watch, Gov. Perrys record proves that the conservative philosophy works.
Rick Perry is a principled conservative who has signed 65 tax cuts, reduced state spending and stood up to the job-killing regulations of Washington bureaucrats, said State Delegate Kelly Schulz. Gov. Perry doesnt just talk about conservative reform, he backs up his words with actions.
I am humbled to have the support of so many Republican lawmakers and party leaders in Maryland, said Gov. Rick Perry. They share my vision for a stronger America with more jobs, more freedom and less government intrusion in the lives of our citizens. "And, sorry to burst your bubble, but with every passing debate Perry is proving himself to be an anti-liberty RINO."
"Romney is a mandate-loving statist POS, but Perry isnt proving out to be much better. A pox on them both."
In my opinion Post 96 is worthwhile reading for anyone still supporting Rick Perry.
His record on illegal aliens is a serious enough problem that other candidates are better qualified because of it. Cain wants to build the fence—he said it may be part Great Wall and part electronic technology but it will be a REAL fence.
Perry calling people who disagree with him heartless racists didn’t help either and probably cost him Florida.
I’m sorry but Perry blew it—he is right for Texas I suppose, but not for the rest of the country.
>>> “ Ahh, why do the Perry signs looks like McCain signs? “ <<<
Because McCain pilfered the Lone Star? Perry then replaced the center with actually winning the presidency?
Sounds like the establishment trying to work overtime before SP gets in.
Like we’re supposed to be impressed with a bunch of no-name endorsements from a bunch a politicians. Tells you a lot about Perry and his campaign. Reminds of the Bob Dole campaign back in 96 when he was racing everywhere trying to get endorsements through all the county chairs in the South and East before the primaries.
” Im sorry but Perry blew ithe is right for Texas I suppose, but not for the rest of the country. “ <<<<
I’m sure it’s a waste of my time, but does this mean that Rick was the first and ONLY candidate who is all over state’s rights??? That is until Romney pifered it and is now flogging it for himself? Remember Arizona, when this race gets thrown to Mitt the faux good ole boy. GAD.
Nope....how ‘bout you?
It is time we rallied behind one candidate now. We need to turn the discussion between the two parties. With so many candidates in the field, money is being diverted from the central effort, which is to create a war chest that will defeat Obama.
I say, stop the bickering and get behind Rick Perry now.
If Sarah Palin gets in the race, game over! I will crawl over glass to support her. But for now, Rick Perry is the only candidate with the skill to defeat Obams.
I know it’s breaking your heart Happy Rain to have to bring us this “bad news.” LOL
And TRUE Conservatives don’t tell LIES about fellow Conservatives.
Two questions...
Wonder what his is going to end up costing US, and
How is this going to help him string three thoughts together in a debate?
What's the latest possible date that Sarah Palin can enter? Is there (or is there not) a 30-day notice period for resignation in her role as a commentator that she must first submit to Fox News before declaring as a candidate?
The question is...will he?
As a contributor to his campaign, I hope he will. I know he is capable. And I know that Perry, like many people, performs better under pressure.
Come on Rick! Show us what you can do!
Speak straight and walk the walk!
What would you do with these children of illegals?
In additional interviews, Mr Cain stated that comprehensive immigration reform was a "do nothing" policy which would not solve the problem of illegal immigration. He stated that a Cain administration would do three things: secure the border; enforce the laws; promote the existing path to citizenship.
Please, don't spew distortions of the truth.
Announcing late will not assure her position as leader.
In fact, so many Americans don't want her to run...it will be an uphill battle.
That said...toss your hat into the ring and get into the fight, Sarah. May the best man/woman win!
I’ve notice that too. Suddenly all the other candidates are trying to parrot Perry’s theme on over regulations, over litigation, over taxation and States Rights. Thing is, Gov. Perry can show what he’s done and more in his fight against the EPA, NEA and the legal community who has geared up to fight his campaign. As well as Big Education unions and NOW. Sometimes I wonder how many lawyers are posting here on FR. Hmmmm?
His playing the race card about “...it doesn't make any difference what the sound of your last name is.” when he was trying to defend his goodies for illegals when nobody even said a dang thing about the illegal aliens’ names—heck,I wouldn't care if the name was Shickelgrubber, illegal is illegal.
Or his saying to the effect that those who don't suck-up to the lawbreakers “have no heart.”
Didn’t take long for the nay sayers to show up did it?
