I have changed my mind-not watching him.
I haven’t gone to a movie in ages because of the kind of people involved in that business. I do hope people are changing their minds on Freeman. Entertainers think they can just slap the public in the face without consequences. It’s good to know where they really stand.
Hubby and I saw Dolphin Tale on a pre-release at the Air
Force base where he works. Tickets were free and I wondered if the free tickets were due to the tie-in with the military in the movie.
Had Morgan Freeman made those comments before we went to the movie I wouldn’t have gone, free or not. I enjoyed the movie very much ~ it’s just too bad Morgan Freeman had to run his mouth the way he did. The people that worked to save the dolphin and the facility that houses it doesn’t deserve this type of publicity.
The real tail was developed by two white men but they have to put ol’ Morgan in to try to tell us whites are not allowed to be heroes.
A touchy-feeley movie about a poor dolphin that lost it’s tail du to evil fishermen?
Nothing would convince me to see it in any case, I prefer my tuna with some dolphin in it, like it had in the good old days!
As for MF, I’ve been boycotting anything with him in it for LONG time, you are late to the party.
I don’t go out to see movies. That said, it’s interesting how Hollyweird replaced the white fin creator with a hollyweird race baiting character.
What a jackass.
I can’t express the disappointment I felt when visiting Gettysburg last summer to find that the introductory film was narrated by ... Morgan Freeman. So much for any semblance of balance or subtlety in the discussion of the complex factors leading to the war.
Nope, it was pretty much Evil Slaveholders vs. The Good Guys.
I’m sure plenty of freepers will be along to explain that that pretty much sums it up. :-)
The fact that Morgan Freeman has any credibility or social acceptance says more about us than it does about him.
Yes. I will boycott all Morgan Freeman related works. Just like I did Danny Glover after he ran his mouth years ago. We generally don’t see any movie until it is available on DVD to avoid the ridiculous prices but the hate mongers are avoided in every setting. Simply change the channel, don’t read the ad, ignore their every utterance.
Regarding Dear Reader ...it is not the color of his skin I object to, it is the destructive un-American policies. This administration is hell bent on destroying the economy, it is obvious in their every action. This racist crap is intended to distract us from the real game.
Didn’t he marry his granddauther (step)? That’s why I won’t watch anything with him in it.
I liked him in most roles. I find he and Gene Hackman are generally convincing no matter who their character is. Nevertheless, he’s become quite bizzare. Aside from the Obama remarks, he’s 72 and involved with his 27 year old step-granddaughter. He’s basically turning into the black Woody Allen.
I always make it a point to boycott any film featuring a Hollywood libtard.
You can all hate me all you want, I’m still going to see the final Dark Knight next year.
For me personnally, I really don’t care what any hollywood type thinks about anything, I’d much rather read books.
Yep. He went on my no watch list...right up there with matt the damon...among others. Not one penny.
We were thinking about going to see the Dolphin movie, then heard about Freeman’s comments and nixed the idea. Did not end out going to any movie - just went out and had a nice lunch instead. Also looking forward to the new Dark Knight- in IMAX.
I think it’s just another lousy flipper movie but with a different tale.......
