I haven’t gone to a movie in ages because of the kind of people involved in that business. I do hope people are changing their minds on Freeman. Entertainers think they can just slap the public in the face without consequences. It’s good to know where they really stand.

“I haven’t gone to a movie in ages because of the kind of people involved in that business.”

I gave up all TV and movies during the OJ trial. TV and movies disgust me; not generally because of the plot, but because of what I know about the actor’s political views. I don’t want to support them in any way.

Having said that, I have twice eaten with friends who then watched a movie. One starred Bruce Willis as a retired CIA agent. The CIA was portrayed as killing wantonly. At one point a CIA agent is hustling around an awesome house talking absently on the phone to his wife while he arranges papers and furniture. Then, after a charmingly domestic conversation we see he has a man tied up, standing on a chair with a noose that’s hanging from the rafters. He kicks the chair away and the man “commits suicide.” If the lefties view the CIA this way, why are they so in favor of big government? Is it because they are in charge of big government and (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) we all know who the CIA will be thusly killing?

In the second movie, aliens invade Earth and of course their main target is Los Angeles. The aliens are literally faceless caricatures and I realized that Hollywood had to use faceless aliens as using humans would mean making the Marines good guys against a human foe, like jihadists. We can’t have that. It was a mindless, violent plot where things blew up.
