U.S. Government Used Taxpayer Funds to Buy, Sell Weapons During 'Fast and Furious,' Documents Show
FOX NEWS ^ | 09/26/11 | By William Lajeunesse

Posted on 09/26/2011 12:40:17 PM PDT by Doogle

Not only did U.S. officials approve, allow and assist in the sale of more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa cartel -- the federal government used taxpayer money to buy semi-automatic weapons, sold them to criminals and then watched as the guns disappeared.

This disclosure, revealed in documents obtained by Fox News, could undermine the Department of Justice's previous defense that Operation Fast and Furious was a "botched" operation where agents simply "lost track" of weapons as they were transferred from one illegal buyer to another. Instead, it heightens the culpability of the federal government as Mexico, according to sources, has opened two criminal investigations into the operation that flooded their country with illegal weapons.

In order to “lose track” of something, you have to keep track of it first.

Voth disagreed and ordered the surveillance team to return to the office. Dodson refused, and for six days in the desert heat kept the house under watch, defying direct orders from Voth.

Ok, lets start with serious charges against Voth and Gillett and see if they talk. I want this mess cleaned up like my grandma doctored a splinter...thoroughly, with lots of light, tons of poking, antibacterial cleaning, and followed by frequent checks to monitor healing!

Ahem, this is the ONLY kind of money the Federal Gov't has. The Federal Goverment does not generate it's own wealth ...

That's what I was thinking at first: 'What a dumb comment - the only money that the Fed's have is taxpayer money'.
But I think the original meme was that 'private citizens' (...as I suppose you could call the Cartel gang) were purchasing these guns without review - and the Feds were letting the guns to 'walk across the border'. This new wrinkle is that apparently the Feds were also buying the guns and then either giving (or selling) them directly to the Cartel...

Government buying them with taxpayer money, selling to the cartel, Food Stamp President’s re-election campaign getting the proceeds less DOJ, ATF, etc. cost of doing business commissions.

Mods locked the other thread.

So Drudge finally has his “smoking gun”? How...recent of him.

Either that or he felt slighted that Issa had a meeting with bloggers, and he felt left out. lol

I called ABC News in New York (212-456-4040) and told them that I was a long time viewer who was getting tired of them ignoring this story. I mentioned that CBS News had good coverage and that maybe I’d be switching channels!

Perhaps if their switchboard is innundated with people wanting information about F & F they’ll get the message. When the chips are down, they will care more about their own careers than protecting Bambi. If we can get the MSM to break the embargo on this story, people will be lining up to get immunity in exchange for their testimony...

Good idea!

Not that ABC needs to know this, but Freepers and bloggers have said that CBS is only reporting F & F on their website -— i.e., that they have never reported on air.
