If you don’t like it “Reagan Man”...help me put a conservative on the ticket.
Roosevelt got elected four times by being little more than a SPIRIT GUIDE.
Newt has a job to do ~ somewhere ~ but it's not President.
Romney's fact checkers are good ~ really good ~ almost as good as I am, plus THEY GET PAID.
Perry insulted us. Yes, I have a heart. Mexicans have one of the world's best countries ~ not just a "better country" than most, but one of the top tier BEST places.
Encouraging Mexicans to go to Mexico is not heartless. Encouraging Haitians to go to Haiti probably is, but it's a different place. Encouraging Mexico take on its fair share of Haitians would be a good idea ~ we take ours, they take theirs, everybody happy!
No, No..... as a Geezer, I am seeking guidance and info from one much younger and in tune with the thinking of your generation.
Thanks
I agree.
I do NOT want Rom to get the Nom, but if he does ...I’ll vote for him. I will. I will NOT sit home — that will get O back in.
Romney says he’ll end Obamacare. He’s for state solutions. He’s for a LOT of conservative ideas ... he’s definitely not a marxist — that’s all I can say.
What bothers me more about him? He’s never served in the military, nor did any of his fine young strapping sons.
I believe he’s an elitist, like Obama.
I don’t know ...Ugh. we need Palin, or we just need to stop saying how Newt or Cain are unelectable and ELECT THEM!!!
None of that is new. Young people in particular and most people in general are suckers for heart-strings being pulled. It’s why advertising works. It’s why the public is easily manipulated.
I believe a small group of alert, awake people can turn them in the right direction. One thing most people respond to is honesty - someone who is genuine. That person needs to come through this pack of politicians and speak to traditional dem supporters. He or She needs to tap into their hearts and remove the chains placed on them by their teachers and the media. They think they are doing something important to be concerned for a tree or a far off land while ignoring human beings in their immediate circle of influence. Someone needs to start rebuilding their pride in America and instilling a heart-felt, thoughtful patriotism. I don’t think that person is on stage yet.
Mitt won last night IMO hands down. I love Newt...but he’s just un-electable. Perry is a sneaky salesman who is totally for amnesty an ilegal immigrants, my #1 concern....he is totally OUT!! If he gets the nomination, I WILL NOT VOTE!!
Brett Beir; My definition of rich is, it is none of the governments business.
Brett Beir for President 2012!

I could care less what the left thinks of him. Perhaps it’s a trap and they know he can beat Obama and saying those things will turn off people who care what they think—like you.
Thanks. It’s tough and frustrating at times. It has been a burden lately for me. It will be a fight to regain this country back and I will hold till the end. I promise you that.
Incorrect. He is giving them special privileges over US citizens.
The parents are here illegally; hence, the children are also illegal residents of Texas.
Now, if my daughters or sons moved to Texas and tried to use their "illegal" residency status (they haven't been in TX long enough to be fit the legal "Texas resident" definition), they would be refused in-state tuition status.
What's the difference? Both the non-US-citizen, illegal alien and the US citizen, non-TX-resident are doing something illegal.
But the illegal alien kids get in-state tuition and the US citizen kids don't.
That's preferential treatment for the illegal alien, no matter how you spin it.
Nope we decided quite a few years ago, even before all this drug stuff came to light we would never go back. We had several scary incidents happen to us and called a halt on going across the border. We have friends who moved down there below Mexico City and they can’t understand why we won’t visit them. Not gonna go! I miss it too.
I’m a resident of Missouri and a US citizen. Texas has no obligation to allow me in-state tuition. There are a dozen states with the same type policy...they are trying to solve a problem that the Federal government has allowed to grow.
Yes you will. You will either go to the voting booth and vote for the Repub nominee or you will sit on your couch and vote for Obama. Not voting is not an option.
Younger people now-a-days have gone a few different ways.
A bunch have gone into the global warming frenzy (although that has died out some).
A lot have been duped into the “rich are evil” thinking.
A lot of them feel that we can achieve world peace and want unity throughout the world. They don’t think America is great and really hate when people speak highly of America. ****This was realized by me when talking to a studying history teacher. I asked what kind of history she was planning on studying and she said European or world history. I asked why not American history (I was fine with her decision bc history is important, but I wanted to ask because I really like studying American history and history in general). She answered me that “she’s sick of everyone thinking America is such a great country and has a great history”. That hurt.
Very few think for themselves. It really pains me to say that, but it’s true.
If you have any other questions. Feel free to ask away.
I will say this. If people in our country could just ask two basic questions (at the least, not saying “only” two questions) we would be in better shape. If they would only ask “Why?” and “How?”
For Example. “Let’s extend unemployment benefits!!” You go with your heart (which they do) and “yes that’s great!”. But if they ask “Why?” and “How?” then things become more real (but then we are back to one of my previous points.... they think the rich are evil, so we will just take it from them) It’s a vicious cycle. Hence why I’ve been burdened lately with the outlook of our Great Country.
Again, it's a "rewards program" for breaking the law. I'd rather allow in-state tuition to a US citizen before offering it to someone here illegally.
Ahhh...gotcha. Thanks for clarifying...and thanks to your brilliant ancestor.
Yeah it seems Bachmann and Palin fling mud for Romney.
I hope you are correct. But how can you have complete “honesty” in the political stage? The media distorts everything that is said. I really do hope you are right and that someone does step up. I just hope we aren’t too far gone. Logic is basically dead in this country.
