Ben and Jerry's name for a new ice cream flavor has at least one conservative group up in arms. OneMillionMoms, which is associated with the American Family Association objected to the name Schweddy Balls, which is a reference to a "Saturday Night Live" skit that featured Alec Baldwin as a name-challenged maker of Christmas candy.
In a statement at www.onemillionmoms.com, the group said "The vulgar new flavor has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive. Not exactly what you want a child asking for at the supermarket." The statement followed with a full description of the puns in the skit, which is available at the Ben & Jerry's website: http://www.benjerry.com/flavors/feature/schweddy/
According to the website, the flavor is: "Fair Trade vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and is loaded with fudge covered rum and milk chocolate malt balls."
OneMillionMoms also objected to the flavor Hubby Hubby, a special edition of the flavor Chubby Hubby in honor of gay marriage.
"It seems that offending customers has become an annual tradition for Ben & Jerry's," . . .

I must be the only person who has never bought a tub of BJ’s ice cream.
I didn’t know they were hard-core socialists...when I realized that, I have not patronized them since.
I thought they were just a couple of old hippies, Vermont is full of them. Most of them are fairly harmless, opening candle shops and such. Then I read a few interviews with them, and I was astonished and appalled.
Yeah. Some people are so stupid they fall for “advertizing”. Funny, that. They must be products of the public school system, as people on FR sometimes like to say.
I agree. My favorite is Vanilla Swiss Almond.
Adults in New England never seem to 'grow up', for some reason...many of them act like five years old children.
>>> must be the only person who has never bought a tub of BJs ice cream.
Once that I read they were hard-core socialists and heard them go off in these rants, I stopped buying it (which was not often in the first place)
Hang a pint from your trailer hitch?
However I will give you credit for attributing the quote correctly rather than ascribing these "communist goals" to Marx or Lenin as some ignorant posters have done.
The hypocritical communists cashed out like good capitalists. Aren’t they now owned by Pillsbury or someone similar?
A million moms...
I wonder how many pints of Cherry Garcia that translates in to?
A number that boggles the mind...
Probably boggles their collective behinds!!
“The hypocritical communists cashed out like good capitalists. Arent they now owned by Pillsbury or someone similar?”

Corrected:
Adults in Mass, RI, CT, VT and southern ME and extreme southern NH.
Good summary.
It is an incorrect assumption that a protest by parents is the advertising that will help these disrespectful communist preverts. Corporations that have embraced imposing this gross crap on Americans are going to change or pay.
Smash mouth communism is a fad that is going out of style. The left’s habit of putting their sex pervert thing in the faces of other people’s children is going out of style, too. The teachers’ unions self serving darkness is making people angry. We have been here before...
The left’s poverty economy and depressingly rotten dead culture is sobering people up. People are tired of living in their gutter. Parents are waking up and getting organized and so the perverts are going to have the light shined on them a lot more than they would like. They always overplay their hand. It is not “advertising” gutter perverts embrace and benefit from.
Libertarians are going to have to find different slogans beyond “bend over.” We don’t have to tolerate leftists slopping our us like we are their farm pigs.
We never have or never will spend any money on a Ben and Jerry’s anything so we don’t care what they name a product we will never buy.
You're not alone. I've never touched the stuff. Two fellows from the state that harbored Scott Nearing and put Howard Dean in the governor's mansion, not to mention the crazies I knew from Bennington College.
No enlightened person should put BJ's in their mouth.
You're not alone...I have never touched that stuff, nor has my wife. We have actually driven by the headquarters north of Waterbury, Vermont many times in the past...
Which of his 'communist goals' do you believe to be incorrect? I can't find any that aren't. In fact, many, if not most, have already been achieved.
You mean that it is a REAL flavor, not just a “I can see Russia from my house” moment? Holy cow!
