Perry talking SS with Hannity.
With a proper wall like they have in Israel and high tech hardware, plus boots on the ground, crossing from Mexico to Texas would be almost impossible.
I like it!
The best defense is offense. Perry should keep saying from now until the primaries is over that Romney is a liberal Republican from Massachusetts and which is absolutely true. Let this SOB Romney be exposed at last for who he really is.
Advanced technology would be more effective, without the expense of building miles and miles of a concrete wall. Technology would forewarn guards before someone even approached the border.
The cost of building some type of fence-wall combo is estimated at $50 billion. That cost would be paid for by the federal govt. Its their responsibility. The savings to border states on infrastructure, education costs, health care costs, savings on welfare handouts and law enforcement funding would reduce state budgets and help to lower state taxes of all kind.
Combine high tech hardware, with a secure border wall/fence and boots on the ground --- BP agents & TNG if necessary and illegal crossings would drop by 95%!
Well then I guess all I can say is you’re in the wrong profession.
[Well then I guess all I can say is youre in the wrong profession.]
Well, since I’ve made millions off my expertise and you’ve made bubkis, I guess we know who is the flaming loser now, don’t we.
Yeah. Right. Sure you have. Spare me the internet Superman routine. ok?
Blah blah blah, holding your poke and nothing else. Now one of two things are true, either I’m a big fat liar, or you are a big fat idiot. One of the two is true. Since we will never meet, you will just have to wonder now, won’t you. And yes, Perry’s ad is a forgettable stinker, doesn’t matter how slick the production - though kids in high school can do the same.
Mom, flag, apple pie - don’t look at the fact 80% of Texas jobs went to immigrants and illegals. Perry is the greatest, just don’t look behind the curtain.
Your logic is more than a little flawed. I don't have to meet you to know whether or not I'm a big fat idiot. I'm not, therefore you are free to draw your own conclusion as to whether or not I believe you to be a big fat liar.
That’s fine for Baja, Arizona and New Mexico. Where do you put it in Texas? Do we simply cede the Rio Grande to mexico and build it on our side of the river?
How much can one put in a 30 second ad? The ad is intended to grab attention and evoke a reaction. It is not intended to explain the details of one's policies.
That fence does not run the entire length of Israel and the entire country of Israel would fit in the city of Houston, TX. The Texas Mexico border is 1200 miles. Not a true comparison. There is no doubt the border could be closed but at what cost? You could sow the entire border with IEDs. Do you want to do that? It is guaranteed to stop border crossers.
No hyperbole. I wasn't comparing the length, just the structure and other options that are being employed by Israel. Upwards of $50 billion is a number I've heard mentioned for construction costs. We could never stop all illegal crossings. A serious effort would lead to serious results and would stop the vast majority of illegal crossings into the border states like Texas.
As I recall, the Israeli wall was to stop the Palestinian snipers from killing innocent Israelis across the border rather than as some border control effort. However, it looks as if it certainly will control illegal immigration.
The point I was making is do we want to spend the money to build a fence like that? There are many tunnels in the San Diego and El Paso areas which are defeating border control efforts there. CA, AZ, and NM may want and need a wall. Do they want to spend their money for something that is a Federal responsibility? The entire Texas-Mexico border is the Rio Grande. How much sense does it make to parallel that with a fence? The river makes Perry’s ideas much more sensible for Texas.
