How's that worked out? /s

I don't know that Perry is the answer, but I like the way he keeps his eye on the prize.

He has been poking his finger in the chest of the Obama administration from day one.

Not just words.
He has had Greg Abbott suing the Feds ***

That was the best I have seen Perry since he announced. The ad was awesome too.

After being caught a bit off guard by the ferocity of the initial attacks, it looks like he is now right back on track.

I'm hoping for big things in the debate.

I will admit that this is a national stage and not a Texas stage, but Perry knows that.

[I’m just sick over this revelation. ]

That ad has absolutely zero substance. It is certainly slick, but it says nothing about how to create jobs.

I mean, if all it takes to be elected president is to say “I’m pro America and for more jobs”, well people ought to elect me. I’m also pro unicorn and motherhood by the way. Your vote is appreciated, you can pay at the door.

Not saying Perry is evil, just that ad isn’t going anywhere.

Well I suppose you felt the same way about Ronald Reagan’s ad.

Texas is a whole other world when it comes to politics. It’s down and dirty. The fact that Perry has managed to kep Repubs in power is a test of his abilities.

I hope if he does win that he would bring Abbott in as Attorney General. Now that is one man that will put Holder et al behind bars.
Just like he did to the former Dum AG.

He is doing what he does best in campaigns.

He is being BOLD and he is shaping the debate.
While the others worry about the Tx Dream act or Gardasil, the others are distracted, he has Obamas throat.

Sure. Just keep the gossip, rumors, innuendo and bogus charges under wraps.

Of course he's impressive - he's campaigning. He's always impressive while he's doing that.

Yep. Conservative too.

OH, He has his eyes all over Eric Holder and the other government plants.

I honestly believe that Perry is THE ONLY candidate that realizes who the plants are that need to be singled out and eradicated.

No spawn can remain.

Great! Rick Perry is talking Social Security! Wow! What’s his plan to FIX IT? Oh, he doesn’t have one? Does he have one to secure the borders AND deal with illegal immigration? Does he have a plan to re-structure the banks so that credit can run downhill to the small businesses and entrepreneurs who actually create jobs? What are his views on Communist China? Does his see them a rival form of governance who is looking to dominate the 21st century or is he part of the “China Fantasy” that thinks that the Communist Chinese are our allies and trade partners who mean us no harm?

That’s right folks! Let Perry and Romney, two more Crony Capitalists who are soft on immigration battle it out to represent the Republican Party so they can lose again?

Think about this. Barack Obama is arguably the most inept President since Warren G. Harding and both of these POSERS are tied or trailing him in the polls. This is the route you want to go? More of the same?

Do you want real insight on Communist China, Israel, terrorism, the “too big to fail” banks, how to FIX Social Security, border security and immigration. Do you want well thought out, detailed, in depth plans? Visit McCotter2012.com. Read his white papers. Watch his speeches. Listen to his radio interviews. If you do, you’ll quickly realize that the rest of the field is offering platitudes and bumper stickers. Thaddeus McCotter IS substance!

MCCOTTER-—YOU HAVE GOT TO BE JOKING!!!!

McCotter is a member of both the moderate Republican Main Street Partnership and the conservative Republican Study Committee.

In May 2007, House Minority Leader John Boehner labeled a bill by House Democrats aimed at stopping energy price gouging “as pointless political pandering”[2] however McCotter and 55 other Republicans voted for the bill.[unbalanced opinion]

McCotter has been an avid supporter of the United States’ involvement in the Iraq War.[unbalanced opinion]

On September 22, 2008, McCotter became the first Republican in the House of Representatives to oppose the Paulson bailout plan, calling it “American socialism.” A week later, he and 132 other Republicans voted against the $700 billion bailout bill.[unbalanced opinion]

A July 24, 2009, press release from McCotter’s House website states that McCotter will introduce a House Resolution on July 27, 2009, calling on President Obama to apologize to police Sergeant James Crowley for his remarks about the latter’s arresting Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. for disorderly conduct on July 16, 2009, if President Obama doesn’t first issue an apology on his own.[3][unbalanced opinion]

At the end of July 2009 McCotter introduced a bill to allow pet owners a $3500 tax deduction for pet care costs.[4] The bill, called the Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years (HAPPY) Act, was criticized by Howard Gleckman of the Tax Policy Center as “the poster puppy for all that is wrong with the tax code.”[5]

McCotter has supported a variety of union-friendly measures such as collective bargaining agreements for government jobs and card check.[6]

I’m a strong Palin supporter, because I believe that combatting crony capitalism is going to be a significant component of righting the careening American ship of state.
However, if it’s going to not be Palin (either by her choice or by that of the GOP voters), I will enthusiastically support Perry. Given the horrifically bad situation in our country, I think most of us - given the opportunity - would choose to live in Texas. That certainly speaks volumes for the guy who’s been Chief Executive there for the last decade plus.
