Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman will announce the endorsement of former U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Gov. Tom Ridge Friday in an event at St. Anselm College in Goffstown.
Ridge, a former governor of Pennsylvania, plans to attend a press conference with Huntsman at the colleges New Hampshire Institute for Politics.
In a statement by the Huntsman campaign, Ridge said Thursday that Huntsman is a serious, insightful leader.
Huntsman, 51, a former Utah governor and ambassador to China, said hell be counting on Ridge for help and counsel.

Ridge is an insult to the people in Pennsylvania...he knows Huntsman doesn't have a chance in #ell of being elected..#ell who is Huntsman anyway??? no name recognition. and Rich Santaourm is running from PA. and you would think Ridge would support someone from his own state!!!
any way..who cares what Ridge does...he is a has been..my money and support goes to 12:30pm announcement...if she doesn't run then its off to Perry.

This is kind of like picking a horse after the horserace has already run and you don’t even pick the horse that won.

In this economic and political environment, nobody is going to vote for the pseudo-conservative nanny stater with oodles of daddy's money and a overly condescending sense of noblesse oblige.

I think it was Jeb Bush who endorsed him a month or so ago. It really helped, it got his poll numbers all the way up to 1%, who knows where it will go with Ridges, maybe even as high a 1.5%

The ****ing progressives are being outed in pure daylight in this election. ridge is no surprise however... he has always been a progressive turd.

I think it was Jeb Bush who endorsed him a month or so ago. Just to be clear, it wasn't Jeb Bush, the former governor of FL, it was his son, Jeb Bush, Jr.

It was Jeb Bush but it was Jeb Bush the younger, not the former governor.

Ridge is a RINO but compared to Ed Rendell he comes off looking like Jesse Helms

Such a ringing, effective endorsement. NOT! More like a Ridge to nowhere.

The New Hampshire Primary Awards recognize and honor individuals ... in the presidential selection process. Past honorees have included New Hampshire Primary winners Sen. Gary Hart and Pat Buchanan, as well as Sen. Bill Bradley, Gov. Mitt Romney, ABC's George Stephanopoulos, and Jill Zuckman of the Chicago Tribune.
I should take cues from losers? ROFL!
Thanks for the grin/Ping, Trib. :^)

You didn’t need a crystal ball to see this one coming. Two RINOS speaking with one voice. Huntsman hasn’t a snow ball’s chance in —— to win.

I’m FROM NH, and I didn’t even hear about this. And why St. Anselm’s? Not like Huntsman will even last until then.
