The global warming theory left him out in the cold.
Dr. Ivar Giaever, a former professor with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the 1973 winner of the Nobel Prize in physics, abruptly announced his resignation Tuesday, Sept. 13, from the premier physics society in disgust over its officially stated policy that "global warming is occurring."

But...but...the scientists are unanimous! There’s a consensus!

He also wrote: “(how can you measure the average temperature of the whole earth for a whole year?)”
I’ve been saying that is nonsense for years. It has no physical meaning.

Yup!!
AND...the guy was strong enough to be hired by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, no less. THAT is a tough school to get into for students and has a premier faculty.
He's not someone the Liberals can call ‘stupid’, which is their usual reaction to challenges like this.

Far from discrediting evolution, the controversies are in fact the sign of a vibrant, thriving field. What moves science forward is ignorance, debate, and the testing of alternative theories with observations and experiments. He notes: A science without controversy is a science without progress.

with the rigidity of ‘scientific thought’ with both evolution and man made global warming I have come to the conclusion that the absolute adherance to these concepts in much more important than science itself. to me scientist have shrunk to the level of carnival gme hucksters. They will support any junk science so long as the grant funding keeps coming in. This man has courage

“How many agree with him but are afraid to say so!!!”
I dared, a week ago during a party, to raise the fact that some credible scientists were questioning the famous consensus. I don’t think I would have had a different reaction from the people that were there if I had said: “I eat live kittens for breakfast...”.
When science becomes a religion, we are in trouble.

Meanwhile, Michael Mann is still at PSU and Joe Bastardi is gone from Accuweather.
