It Begins: Obama Should Quit
Pajamas Media ^ | September 14th, 2011 | Christian Adams

Posted on 09/14/2011 1:00:47 PM PDT by shield

This morning, John Fund was on WMAL-AM, the talk radio powerhouse in Washington D.C. He mentioned that nobody in Democratic circles is defending Obama anymore. Buyer’s remorse is everywhere. Essentially, only those actually working for the Administration or Democratic Party, trapped inside the Alamo, are defending the fort now. Anyone can guess when they might start turning the guns on each other, perhaps starting from Foggy Bottom. Fund thought there is a chance that a “committee” of senior Democrats might go to Obama in a few months and tell him it might be best not to run for reelection. Who knows. At least the disappointment would be bi-partisan if that happened, with White House loyalists and the GOP both upset Obama wouldn’t be on the ballot in November.

Then Andrew Breitbart over at the Bigs has the same observation as Fund:

I predict a tectonic shift among American Jews and within the Democratic Party if Obama doesn’t quietly retire. All the spinning in the world can’t spin away the trend of Scott Brown, the Tea Party victory of November 2010, and now the Turner earthquake.

Many Democrats are awakening to the reality that their party has been hijacked by a radicalism completely unfamiliar to their parents’ and grandparents’ Democratic Party.

An internal, partisan civil war is now brewing in that party. What I think tonight is less important than what Joe Lieberman, Bill Clinton, Evan Bayh, and the rest of the former, and now defunct, reasonable wing of the Democratic Party is thinking tonight.

Granted, it’s early, and one bad night in Brooklyn does not an LBJ make. But there is no mistaking the sense of failure creeping over this Presidency after so much Hope.

We must have republicans who will work tirelessly to turn the tide against the socialists, racists and one-worlders.

Amen, Brother.

You support your Candidate.

I'll support mine.

But on Election Day, we'll meet at dawn, and do the Right thing.

The entire nation associates the Democratic Party with/as the Obama brand.

It's only fair that they do that, and they would be correct.

That’s when the Articles of Impeachment are filed; after Barry loses the general election and during the ‘lame duck’ session.

Tie him up in knots.

When I see that map, it makes me wonder: what the hell was wrong with Minnesota?

I've read (can't confirm this) that once Reagan's people knew the election would be in the bag, they took the foot off the gas pedal in Minnesota so as not to completely embarrass Mondale.

Also, FWIW I have a feeling Hillary may have lost the fire in the belly for the job. If so, that's fortunate for our side as she would be MUCH more formidable than Captain Zero.

I see you used quotes, but there isn't such a thing.

I wouldn’t even be sure about that. If Hillary gets into the race, Bubba will too, and he still has a lot of “street cred”.

I want to caution FReepers who are giggling gleefully about the possibility of Obama’s resignation to be careful what they wish for.

Obama is walking wounded. There is no way he can get reelected. Hillary, if she manages to separate herself credibly from Obama, would be a much harder nut to crack. Granted, that’s a big “if”, she’s been his Sec-State for all this time and her policies are not going to be that much different — but in any case, I think she will be harder to beat than Obama.

Please don't sully the "Captain" designation attaching it to that POS.....I once proudly wore that rank as I'm sure other FReepers did as well. Speaking for them as well as myself...I'm offended!

He’s getting on that bus and he’ll be pushing his “jobs bill” which is just taxes.

Then, when Republicans oppose it, he just says, “see, Republicans don’t want to help you get a job”.

Obama's proposal is all tax increases - but no congressman ever submitted Obama's "American Jobs Act" for legislative consideration.

The joke is that a Republican Congressman submitted his own "American Jobs Act" which would null out the corporate income tax and do other pro growth things which Obama wouldn't support on a bet. So now, when Obama promotes the "American Jobs Act," he is promoting a bill he didn't propose and doesn't support.

At last someone has found a way of putting a price tag on voting "present" . . .

After losing in Brooklyn, I suspect he’ll lose in Florida, too.

He’s too tone-deaf to pivot on his Arabic kowtowing now.

You know, I have been pondering the matter of Democrats dumping Obama for the past fortnight. I have been hoping to submit an editorial on it to see if I could get it published.

My musings got their genesis when I read how 1/4 Democrats want to dump Obama. My first response was, "And with whom would they replace him?" My second question was: "What is the point really?"

What would a Democratic insurgent candidate offer? To take the advice of Mr. Greenberg, he or she would have to move to the right. But isn't that a tacit admission that the GOP critics of Obama were right all along?

The sad truth is that the majority of truly engaged Democrats are Big Government crypto-socialists (even if they can't admit to themselves).
