It Begins: Obama Should Quit
Pajamas Media ^ | September 14th, 2011 | Christian Adams

Posted on 09/14/2011 1:00:47 PM PDT by shield

This morning, John Fund was on WMAL-AM, the talk radio powerhouse in Washington D.C. He mentioned that nobody in Democratic circles is defending Obama anymore. Buyer’s remorse is everywhere. Essentially, only those actually working for the Administration or Democratic Party, trapped inside the Alamo, are defending the fort now. Anyone can guess when they might start turning the guns on each other, perhaps starting from Foggy Bottom. Fund thought there is a chance that a “committee” of senior Democrats might go to Obama in a few months and tell him it might be best not to run for reelection. Who knows. At least the disappointment would be bi-partisan if that happened, with White House loyalists and the GOP both upset Obama wouldn’t be on the ballot in November.

Then Andrew Breitbart over at the Bigs has the same observation as Fund:

I predict a tectonic shift among American Jews and within the Democratic Party if Obama doesn’t quietly retire. All the spinning in the world can’t spin away the trend of Scott Brown, the Tea Party victory of November 2010, and now the Turner earthquake.

Many Democrats are awakening to the reality that their party has been hijacked by a radicalism completely unfamiliar to their parents’ and grandparents’ Democratic Party.

An internal, partisan civil war is now brewing in that party. What I think tonight is less important than what Joe Lieberman, Bill Clinton, Evan Bayh, and the rest of the former, and now defunct, reasonable wing of the Democratic Party is thinking tonight.

Granted, it’s early, and one bad night in Brooklyn does not an LBJ make. But there is no mistaking the sense of failure creeping over this Presidency after so much Hope.

Obama has so tainted the Democratic brand, they can't win. And I believe they won't return to power until the American electorate have forgotten just how toxic they have been to our democracy.

These disaterous presidencies are forgotten in a heartbeat.

Well .... Almost.

When Nixon resigned we were treated to endless predictions that the Republican party was irreparably damaged and would probably collapse, never to win another election.

Carter was elected and 2 1/2 years later the entire nation was counting the days until he was out of the White House. Regan took office in 1980 after his 1979 win over Mondale, taking 45 states and 91% of the electoral vote.

Then we were treated to predictions of a republican ascendency and the impending demise of the democrat party because of the Carter malaise.

That lasted until Bill Clinton showed up on the national radar.

But one caveat: In retrospect, what seemed like disasters with Nixon, Carter and even Clinton have been reduced to small bumps in the road by the magnitude of the Obama debacle. The others just screwed up in various ways. Obama is embarked on a willful attempt to destroy America.

I don’t think he will run. The job is so much harder than he thought. He is tired of it. He is tired of all the sophomoric ideas he held as true all his life turning to crap. He will be happy with one term, he will claim it was a big success and spend the rest of his days making speeches and basking in the love of eric holder’s people. He will make some lame excuse, withdraw, and the DNC will nominate someone else. Probably hillary.

Are the Pubs going to question his eligibility this time or will they give him another free pass like McCain did?

I don’t believe it. No proof what-so-ever.

Does anyone think that if Bush got OBL and got rid of the body at sea the loonies on the left wouldn’t be screaming bloody murder?

As predicted by Bert, here, last week.

The committee will be seven gray heads in gray suits.

Give me 12 years of Conservativism and then we can talk about what comes next.

It's so bad now, at that point, I have a feeling that if we can tie Obama, Pelosi and Reid around the necks of Democrats, we've got a better than 50-50 chance.

And a huge number of people know it and the rest sense something is really rotten. This man will not be forgotten, nor will the compliant, complicit MSM and the Democratic Party be forgive and excused. NO WAY!

O isn’t going to get Ohio, NC, IN or MO in 2012 as he did in 2008. That’s enough to lose the electoral college.

You hit the nail on the head here. The incessant vicous attacks that Palin experienced will pale in comparison to the tsunami of biased reporting that will swamp the Republican nominee. And the more conservative the nominee, the more violent the attacks.. If the nominee is a liberal Repuclican like Romnie they’ll try to paint him as a left wing extremeist, attack his religion(i.e. point out all the kooky stuff Mormons believe and ask him if he believes it), try to drive a wedge between him and Christians... throw anything at him they think will stick.

All that said, I still think the republican nominee has a decent chance.

Question: Why did Mondale run for Minnesota Senator in 2002.

Answer: He wanted to “pick up the spare.”

Haaaaaaaaarrrrrdeeeeehhharhar! I crack myself up.

Give me 12 years of Conservativism and then we can talk about what comes next.

If we are ever that fortunate again we cannot have a republican President who is content with just rolling things back to the advent of Obama. We must have republicans who will work tirelessly to turn the tide against the socialists, racists and one-worlders.

That includes many things, not the least of which is the elimination of officially sanctioned and supported political correctness and the restoration of sanity and pro-Americanism in schools.

I would not be surprised to see a leftist take a shot at Obama......of course, that would turn him into an instant martyr

No no no no no...In his case, he would have to blow himself up and take out some of the enemy (us) to become a martyr.
