Congressional investigators reviewing the failed gun-tracking program Operation Fast and Furious have formally asked the Obama administration to turn over copies of "all records" involving three key White House national security officials and the program, other ATF gun cases in Phoenix, and all communications between the White House and the ATF field office in Arizona.
The letter signed Friday by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Sen. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, was sent to National Security Advisor Thomas E. Donilon, a top aide to President Obama.
It marks a significant step in the committee's investigation into the failed gun-tracking operation, as the committee begins to broaden its investigation from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and targets White House and Department of Justice officials.

Where is the new Howard Dean?
There will be a stone wall to help run out the clock
I doubt anyone’s going to put this into simple enough prose for the vast majority of the country to understand until Palin addresses it as part of her campaign against Obama.
She will put it into pithy terms that even the casual observer can understand.
What records?
There’s no stinkin records.
Great word Issa.

A simple search for the title brought it right up.
I didn’t see it four days ago, thanks, “Broker” for posting!
Wasn’t there a Fast and Furious shredding party at the White Crib so they can claim there is “no shred of evidence”?
Then I can say, for the first time, IBTZ!
Twice!
Under the program, ATF agents allowed illegal gun purchases and hoped to track the weapons to Mexican cartel leaders.
Ill continue to post this on every thread I see. The cartels are multi-billion dollar enterprises. Cartels see guns as consumables. Thats why the get left at the scene. Once a gun has fired bullets, its trackable by ballistic markings on the expended shells and fired slugs. Keeping the gun would tie the shooter to the shooting scene; blowing a firearm possession charge into murder. Since the guns are in effect consumed they are consumables. Cartel leaders dont buy consumables. If they did youd see the CEO of Wal-Mart visiting warehouses full of aprons and toner cartridges. Low level buyers buy consumables. The same buyer would also buy the cartels toilet paper, pencils and torture implements.
Therefore, the ATFs motive was not to find the leaders of the cartels. If they want the leaders, all they have to do is ask any underling in the right circumstances and hell say who his boss is. You cant exactly hide your identity when you have 10,000 employees. The ATF motive was to undermine the second amendment. And, it meant nothing to the ATF planners for Fast and Furious that Mexicans and Americans would die because of this plan.
What?
Since they can't take our guns from us, they need to arm their side when they start “The revolution” against free people. Obama can set up a “crisis” and call for Marshall law as well as whatever executive laws he wants to make to handle the “crisis”.
Let's call it what it really was: a failed attempt at drumming up support for and justification of further anti-gun laws to disarm the citizens of these United States of America.
Rec’d email link to this, searched FR for post, found none. The shock - horror of Mexico is no mere accidente.
martial law?
It is more than a failed policy, it’s all about the USA enabling/sponsoring mass murders.
The more I've thought about this, the more I've concluded that the ATF and DOJ people involved are actually guilty of premeditated mass murder and should be prosecuted for it. The only logical purpose for F&F and Gunwalker was to get traceable weapons into the hands of the cartels, have them use the weapons to commit murders, trace the weapons back to American dealers, and blame legitimate gun owners and Second Amendment advocates for the carnage. Absent the carnage, there would be no political blame and no points to be scored. Thus, the guns had to be used to commit multiple murders for the whole evil scheme to work, and those who hatched the scheme had to intend that they be so used. That makes this whole thing a mass murder scheme and the individuals who developed and implemented it mass murderers.
As the “Obama experience” continues, so ripen imagination of this Marxist methodically fullfilling his fantasies.
People need to go to jail over this. If the pressholes were worth a tinkers damn these days it would be the 1st Idiot’s Watergate.
