Can’t argue with that... and I am working on really telling it how I feel about things... but I am just not quite there yet! I am working on improvement however! ;-)

Well he better hurry up and get his pals to come through with all those big bucks.... Hollywood is bringing back Dallas the tv series come next October...(surprise) Any one paying attention through the 80's remembers the image of J R Ewing that evil rich 'oil' man, Americans loved to hate. I can't wait to see how Hollywood is going to project an old man J R Ewing.
/sarc?
Keep in mind a little history - Sarah Palin was PERSECUTED by harrassment lawsuits which were without merit, yet so long as she was Governor of Alaska, they interfered greatly whith her discharge of duties as Governor. The fastest way to resolve virtually all of these lawsuits was to resign, and remove the governorship as the target of this petty (and expensive) guttersniping.
So to say that she “quit under fire” is to misrepresent the facts. She did it to restore the power of the Governor’s office.
Her current strategy (poised to run, but not yet announcing) keeps the snipers off-balance and uncertain of how to proceed against her.
And if she chooses not to run officially, but is subject to a draft at the Republican convention, who could bet against that?
Rick Perry's fans like his straight-talking style (they "heart" Rick)
"Perry's blunt language on Social Security is "absolutely part of his appeal," Floyd Kvamme, a venture capitalist and former adviser to President Ronald Reagan, said Friday outside an East Palo Alto fundraiser. "It's plain-spokenness. It's his realism. The fact of the matter is ... it's broken."
....Supporters love how Perry refused to back down at Wednesday's debate when confronted with his "Ponzi scheme" description, which he first used in his 2010 book, "Fed Up." After addressing the East Palo Alto fundraiser, where 150 business leaders paid between $1,000 and $5,000 to be photographed with him, Perry remained steadfast, telling The Chronicle that while people already receiving Social Security shouldn't worry about their benefits, Americans in their 20s should....."
.....As Romney-backer-turned-Perry supporter John Warner, a retired Orange County surf clothing CEO said, Romney's "campaign seems too nervous about everything.
......Perry's approach seems to be working: He's drawing big crowds and big donations - $500,000 at a single Orange County fundraiser - in California....."
I think he wanted to RUN, and toward winning was at best indifferent. He's doing fine in his comfy chair in the Senate, with slightly enhanced status by dint of having been nominated for the presidency, by his political party.
But in support of your point of view, I would not have voted for him, but for his running mate. His choice of running mate enhanced his chances. Maybe enhanced his chances to a degree that made him uncomfortable. Imagine a presidency where the VP carries more weight and credibility than the president!
I will NEVER vote on the basis of running mate again. Either the guy at top is good enough to earn my vote, or not. McCain was not and is not good enough to earn my vote.
As for the Opening Post, I think it's based on the author's imagination.
She has to file in Colorado in the next 20 days in order to be on the primary ballot. After that, no chance at all....
So, it will be decided by the end of September.
Cant argue with that... and I am working on really telling it how I feel about things... but I am just not quite there yet! I am working on improvement however! ;-)
Let the “Inner Sarah Out” the one that tells the truth with a smile. However be not dismayed you will not be as attractive doing it though.
Perry’s biggest fundraising ability is tied to the network of Texas GOP businessmen—for whom the cheap labor and government subsidy of illegal immigrant workers is paramount. Perry’s opposition to e-verify, for example, is behind a lot of his fundraising power.
Bachmann's actions during her campaign give me a feeling that Bachmann has an overabundance of vanity.
I wouldn't call her stupid, but she seems to have some blind spots.
As for her "rise and fall," all that is just an artifact of media attention. When the media turns on the spotlight, the target appears to rise, when the spotlight turns off, the target appears to fall. Has nothing to do with the target.
Damn right business men and women (small - large - middle sized) are lining up to give Perry money to beat Obama.
JOBS
ECONOMY
TOO many REGULATIONS
TOO much LITIGATION
TOO much TAXATION
Like the one she took when she was sworn in as Governor of Alaska?
SarahPac war chest and her family finances. Or, are you against somebody making money in a free market???
Excellent Post Thank you
And they may very well have.
This was Michelle's introduction to the "anti-conservative RINO traitor establishment" that has a stranglehold on republican leadership.
-——Bachmann was suckered into hiring RINO staffers——
In my view that is profound rationalization.
She is suffering from lack of funds that result from a lack of donors that means her appeal is inadequate for the task.
Zeal is trumped by money in the bank.
There are multiple dynamics at play here.
A liberal Jimmy Carter gave us 8 years of Ronald Reagan.
I could see a Marxist Obama destroying our economy leading to a conservative leader who can convey a message of true hope for the future directly to the people.
Sarah Palin has that capability.
I think we won't really know how people will react until she gets out there. If she can reach out to them, she will change a lot of hearts.
That's what she's betting on.
I'd take that bet in her favor.
What cracks me up is how Anne Coulter is always saying that Palin has to hurry and get in but Christie of NJ would make a "dynamic late entry" and shake up the race.
Is Christie GOProud or something? How does this make sense for Coulter?
>> I gave Fred $2500.00... I should have wiped my rear end with it... I would have gotten something for it.
Ouch! I gave about a tenth that and felt the same way.
>> Fred never woke up to campaign... there is NO similarity in any manner between Fred and Sarah...
That’s a *little* hyperbolic, but I have to agree with your core point. Palin is not Thompson. (On the other hand, Palin is not Reagan either... and that comparison is widely used to justify waiting as long as November to enter).
Most importantly, 2012 is not 2008 (nor is it 1980). Different candidates, different context, different problems...
The validity of Palin’s strategy, whatever it is, will only be clear in hindsight. Personally, I wish she’d decide and announce her position right away, but no way could I argue that she’s doing the wrong thing by holding off.
FRegards
I don't expect anyone to read all that material, my point is over time, I can allow myself to believe Rollins was just another player in the game to leave us with another John Mccain choice for a candidate.
Yes, I am very cynical...
Yep. Texas business men back Perry for:
Jobs for government subsidized (that is, taxpayer subsidized), low-cost illegal alien employees.
