So is Palin trying to be the Fred Thompson of 2012? She’s already too late.

Sarah Palin is No Fred Thompson she is a celebrity or a star and he is not. However when Sarah steps in she will lay down the “Law & Order.

Yeah I would say Thompson and Palin are very similar campaigners. They have about equal energy levels on the stump.

Thompson got in the 2008 campaign late and never recovered. I really wish McCain had chosen someone else to sink with his ship. Palin could have been spending the last 3 years getting more experience as Governor of Alaska and be in her second term now. She was taken out of the oven too soon, so now she’s just a half-baked Alaskan.

Well you must have missed the rope line where Sarah meets the folks nobody like her since RFK.

When Sarah wins IA and scares the hell out of Romney possibly winning NH, then Perry will have to send limos to get the voters out in SC. Then Sarah will call it “crony voteism” and probably win anyway. Game On Boys!!

I hope Bachmann can manage to stay in. She’s a good voice for conservatism.

I’ll certainly support Palin if she gets in and wins, but I’m not as optimistic about her chances as this article. I think her support is very deep, but not very wide.

We’ll know soon enough. However it turns out, I hope we can all stand together in the end - to stop the Obama regime.

Uh, the person who wrote this is a Democrat supporter of Barack Obama and Claire McCaskill.

I realize people can have their own take on Sarah no matter what Dem operatives are saying, but you need to ask yourselves why Democrats for Obama and McCaskill would be weighing in on Sarah Palin’s plans and would make such sweepingly huge claims for her as a towering figure about to sweep away all in her path. What is their motive, never mind yours.

It is clear, they are absolutely desperate to stop Perry. To divide the anti Romney vote between Palin and Perry. Thereby getting Romney, by default. That is exactly how they got John McCain. The anti McCain vote in 2008 was split.

They believe, without doubt, that Romney will lose to them because they know the majority of Republicans are anti Romney and will not “go to the mat” much less crawl over broken glass to vote for him.

All my liberal friends think that Michelle Bachmann is a religious nut case — that can’t be overcome in their minds.

They think Sarah Palin is stupid. She will prove them wrong in short order.

Disagree....no one lights a fire in the conservative base like Palin. Plus she has already been completely vetted. She’s got no where to go but up.

My energy level comment was sarcastic. Palin and Thompson, similar energy levels???? Come on!

Being from MN Bachmann could not get enough votes to be a Senator and that state.

Now Pawlenty could probably win a Senate seat.

Bachmann is like the majorette the runs to the front of the parade to lead it.

However a leader was not necessary because the position was already taken when needed by Sarah Palin.

In IA they say the difference between Michelle and Sarah is Michelle reaches out to the folks, but with Sarah the folks reach out to her.

“go to the mat” much less crawl over broken glass to vote for him.

Obama cannot win he is toast no matter who is nominated by the GOP.

Folks will vote for Romney or Perry but they will crawl over broken glass for miles to get to the polls for their beloved Sarah.

When Sarah announces she will have 50M in funds very quickly in small increments.

Wait and see, plus the press will end up on Sarah’s side because she will be the better story.

Yes maybe I have drank the kool aid on that speculation.

Sarah is not the safest choice because she will excite both bases. However hating someone does not inspire voter turnout. The GOP would love to usher Sarah to the Oval Office and call it payback time at the polls for her treatment.

I’ve been thinking pretty much the same thing. It’s what made her famous but you could say being used by McLame as VP candidate was in hindsight the worst thing that could have happened to her career. Ultimately prompting her decision not to run for reelection.

I don’t think she’s gonna run for President and maybe she never wanted to but being a 2 term Governor who lets say succeeded in cleaning up Alaska politics and slaying the Arctic RINOs up there would have been a better path than VP candidate and former Governor turned media/pop culture icon.

And I would point out to you that the writer’s connection to Claire McCaskill is telling, in regards to the Harry Reid-Chuck Schumer dominated Senate.

Republicans have a fantastic opportunity to retake the Senate, and it is a must that they do so. Having a GOP President while still facing a Democrat Senate would be a terrible obstacle.

The enthusiasm and turnout from the Republicans is crucial...that’s the base. Yes we need others including lots of Independents, but if the base lets us down the outcome is negative. And with Romney as the nominee, from a split anti Romney vote, Democrat prospects considerably improve.

It isn’t hard to figure why Dem operatives are trying to encourage infighting among anti Romney Republicans.

Sarah was/is the establishment's enemy. DRILL -baby- DRILL from OIL rich Alaska was NOT on the establishment's agenda.

I mean really now, all those ‘Texas’ windmills, California solar, and subsidized ethanol corn fields.

I have come to believe that lord McCain's purpose was to removed Sarah from the political establishment. OIL drilling was no longer a considered option for US from the establishment politicians agenda.

And during the 2008 campaign the world was fixing to get their control over that man made climate change.

What better way to flatter a woman than to offer her the opportunity to be vice president.... and then unleash the hounds from hell to destroy her and her family.

SOOOO Sarah some of US know what it means to our nation and our economy too DRILL - baby - DRILL
