As Palin goes, so do we. That's why I get my hackles up when someone goes after her. They just attacked me, too. I don't know if I made any sense here or not.

It makes perfect sense, and I feel exactly the same way.

LOL. Yeah. As opposed to the public's wild clamoring for The Wall Street Journal.

I'd like to see how many people show up for a Paul Gigot rally.

Obama had a loyal following too, fainting like clockwork before the messiah.

And how'd having loyal followers work out for Obama?

Is there enough ink left to add his name to the “jealous haters” list?
LOL

Well for the followers, poorly for the country. Dazzled sycophants are not analytical.

This is just another failed tactic to try and get her to shut up and go away, but, to their trepidation and dismay, she'll probably announce very soon.

Idiotic. People are tired of the games and want to know: IN or OUT.

That's not an attempt to shut her up or tell her to go away. It's to tell her to MAKE UP YOUR MIND so we can get on with it.

She's bypassed four debates and one candidate forum and a 5th debate on Monday.

She's not Ronald Reagan. Having nearly toppled his party's incumbent for the nomination in '76, he had a commanding lead in the polls when he bypassed several 1979 events.

“Sorry, but Sarah has been running almost non-stop since 2008.”

She unfortunately hasn’t parlayed that into frontrunner status. Her approach in recent months of not announcing while others do hasnt worked.

“no one is holding Palin critics out of the conservative movement. “

Here supporters are trying to do that. A lot of good conservative activists like Erick Erickson and many others have been called ‘vermin’ and worse by Palin supporters for daring to question Palin’s actions and judgement.

I like Palin, like and agree with what she has to say, and would put her bumper sticker on my car in 2012 like I did in 08 and work to elect her, should she be the nominee. But I’ve moved on from thinking she would be a good nominee, based on her actions as a non-candidate candidate. She’s not doing what a future President would need to do.

But the reaction of her supporters to any doubts or questions is as irrational as the Ron Paul supporters. pointing out that Palin is not doing what it takes to be a serious candidates does NOT mean you are out to ‘get’ Palin or in some cabal to keep her down. That paranoid reaction by Palin supporters only turns the non-fans off.

Stop being paranoid and start looking at reality.

Yes, the WSJ editorial page was pretty consistently conservative, while the front page was consistently liberal. Presumed to be deliberate policy.

But the WSJ conservatism didn’t extend everywhere. They were never very strong on right to life, and they favored free trade even when it was tilted to undermine our manufacturing.

Still, I agree it was one of the more reliably conservative media sources around.

Yes, I suppose it’s an exaggeration to say that only liberals win Pulitzer Prizes. More likely one could say that it’s around 90% liberals who win them.

I know you Perry supporters are wont to use the latest polls to try and make your points, however, everytime you do, there is another historical scenario that rebuts your logic.

Using polls to determine if we should support/not support someone or for political decision-making would have been disasterous for the Conservative Movement if Reagan had made decisions based on his being down 30+ points to Carter less than 10 months from the General Election.

Your arguments are weak and are just more camoflauge for people who really don't want Governor Palin in the race.

Just camoflauge for the fear that the supporters of other candidates have for Governor Palin getting in the race and sucking the air out of the campaign for their candidate.

Why should care at what time Governor Palin gets in the race?

If Perry is the right guy on the issues, then he will win, with or without Governor Palin in the race.

Your whole argument on this issue is IDIOTIC.

Ever notice how you and others thinking like you, descend into ridicule and negative assassination territory against anyone thinking differently than you do? It is a low down dirty way to play the game of discussion on keeping America great and prosperous, and thriving.

I know it works. Still is is ugly, lies, and attempts to kill the person they fear. Nothing is to low to do or say about the other side. BAD VOODOO! SHAME!

No truth, no ways to stay strong as a nation,There are two choices. Good and evil. and the levels in between.

Ask is the outcome of this action for good or for evil?
Life or death?

Choose life and good.

“no one is holding Palin critics out of the conservative movement. “ Here supporters are trying to do that.

As I said, there are some who wish to hold Palin and her supporters out of the "conservative movement". There are some who wish to hold Perry critics out. There are problems on both sides as I pointed out to you.

But you don't see that.

Stop being paranoid and start looking at reality.

Your comment is nonsense. I've done nothing to deserve that remark. I would suggest that you look at the full picture and not just your myopic view of reality.

[I adore Palin’s parents too. haha I act like I know them but its just gut intuition.]

I met mom, dad and brother here in Vegas at an event. Just rock solid, as open and truthful as you can get. I bought dad and brother a beer (or maybe an O’Doul’s, I forget). Chuck says Palin writes her own stuff.

You gets what you sees, a very comforting feeling.

There is a downside to employing Alinsky tactics. Since it has been used on our side for so long, we can see the tactic and recognize it. What we may be on the verge of finding out are the unintended consequences.

While it works for awhile, it has a tendency to turn people rabid and mean. That becomes habit. Once it is used, the people employing it are unable to see themselves from the eyes of others and unable to realize how destructive and humorless it is. A good argument to those who disagree is no longer possible.

if Reagan had made decisions based on his being down 30+ points to Carter less than 10 months from the General Election.”

You better have some data to back that up. Reagan was NEVER 30+ points down. In fact, once Reagan had secured the nomination, by about April or so, he was running ahead of Carter, not by much but still ahead under the Gallup poll. During summer, he fell behind again, not by much, but Carter still led.

As teh fall progressed, Reagan closed in, and the final week, some showed him winning slightly. The final WEEKEND, the main polls showed him surging a few points past and Reagan’s own internal polls (Richard Wirthlin) showed him winning a landslide.

That is of course what happened.

But what I am continually amazed at is the viciousness of the posts here. You called the previous post that you responded to IDIOTIC (your all caps, not mine).

Yet you said stridently that Reagan was 30 points plus behind Carter ten months out (which would be December 1979).

I don’t believe at all that that was the case, but if you can demonstrate it with a link, that would be informative.

In any event, I am certain that by spring 1980, the race was seen as fairly close and early in the spring, as noted, Reagan actually led.
