"Run, Sarah, run!" the Manchester crowd chanted, forcing Palin to pause her speech and say, "I appreciate your encouragement. I do." Will that encouragement be enough to bring Palin into the 2012 campaign as the bearer of the populist banner? The mere possibility is enough to give the "permanent political class" nightmares, and to inspire pleasant dreams for the people whose prayers her campaign would answer.

Perhaps...
To God’s ears!
Cain or West or Bolton all seem to be possibilites.
Outstanding piece....the other candidates and so-called Republican leaders...so far as I can tell...”crickets!
What was that Senator’s name from PA? He’s a great example of what you are saying.
Thanks, cc2k—Someone FReepmailed the link to the thread with the whole facebook posting.
Perry refused to say anything negative, even when asked about it.

Miss Romney hasn't responded that I can find. Why should he? He probalby will get a Teamsters endorsement in the primaries.
So far, only The Hermanator (Cain) and the conservative women have had the balls to take on Hoffa's comments.
We must have zero tolerance for RINOs, they only get us to hell a little slower than the dems do.
“Zero tolerance for RINOs”
I can't speak for Texas, but in Georgia being a Democrat even as late as the 1990's was quite different from being one today.
Georgia didn't elect it's first GOP governor until 2002--just 9 years ago. Prior to that, every governor going back to the Civil War era was a Democrat. As a practical matter, for all of that time Georgia was a one party state. Democrats controlled all the levers of power in Georgia. If you were serious about being in politics and actually getting anything done you became a Democrat.
Consequently, Georgia produced a lot of conservative Democrats. Zell Miller is the perfect example. Probably more conservative that 80% of Republicans, he was in many ways the typical Georgia Democrat.
I don't have a problem with a southerner that was once a Democrat. That's just the way the history of the south worked.
Besides people nitpicking about her voice (which I hear as the sound of Freedom by the way!)...they also say “oh the media has damaged her too much..blah blah blah”. I had a friend of mine tell me this last weekend. She said she would vote for Sarah but not enough others would.
I said, so far the media has been able to lie and spin about her, but the debates will be live and unedited.
Your average uninformed voter, not familiar with Sarah like we are, might see her speak of her plan for the first time in a debate setting and she might just get through to them.
I think she speaks directly to the American heart, like Reagan did, bypassing the democrat controlled media.
Yesterday afternoon the most listened to radio show in Wisconsin, The Mark Belling Show, had Mark leading the show by reading Sarah’s response to Hoffa’s threats and her plan to get the good old boys like him and the corporate crony capitalism out of our country.
While he’s always said good things about her, he was on fire for her ideas and was very impressed with her.
He read the whole statement by Palin and the potential number of people who heard it, was very large. He broadcasts out of Milwaukee and the signal goes far and wide from there.
I think once those unfamiliar with her substance, and now only familiar with her appearance and the lies the media tells...once they hear her UNFILTERED by the MSM, the people cabable of thinking on their own will see she has the plan and fire to get us out of this mess.
End of Rant
Thanks for the time.....
I saved that link to my favorites.
Quote from the comments section says if Palin doesn’t get elected POTUS it will be a greater loss for the country than it is for her personally.
I agree. The country needs her. If America rejects the one who can get the job done, she will still have a full and wonderful life but America will continue to decline.
I always love it when you post that picture.
That is the kind of connection Palin has with America.
I trust her completely and will follow her, support her, and work to get her elected.I’m giving as much as I can to her campaign fund. My husband (WI Air Nat’l Guard 26 years now retired)and I will give without hesitation to save our country from crony corporate capitalism. She will clean up DC like she cleaned up Alaska.
May I ask where that picture was taken?
I believe Palin was waiting to see if Perry threw his hat in, and she would have been a candidate if he hadn’t done so.
Once he was in, she knew she wasn’t going to run, but there was no hurry to say so.
At this point there can be no other reason not to announce, if she’s going to announce she’s in. No one has yet given me a credible reason why she wouldn’t announce already, if the decision was to run. There simply isn’t any reason.
If she “hasn’t decided,” first of all that’s nonsense and secondly it makes her look indecisive, i.e., lacking the old abdo-combustion engines.
If she has decided not to run, which is plainly the case, there’s no pressing reason to say so, and several good reasons not to say so.
Ergo she is not running and don’t hold your breath waiting for her to say she is not running.
BTW, since the last time I posted the list, four people have been added: Alexander the Great, Hannibal, Napoleon, and Thomas Paine.
This is an ongoing list of historical, popular, and Biblical people; fictional characters, as well as animals that Sarah Palin() has been compared to on FR:
Here's LTC (Congressman) West riding in the Rally.
Sarah rode in the Rally with Petrina Herman. Here's their photo.
Sarah riding behind Petrina, and Todd Palin with their daughter Piper riding behind dad, (her hand barely shows).
Great pictures!
I hope she picks LTC West for VP.
What a knockout combination they would be!
Cheers!
Amen. The worst thing he ever did.
Heh-heh. Very good. I’ve always said, I’m happy to accept God’s will for her life, which is why I don’t care how long she takes. And if she doesn’t run, I’m at peace with that, too.
I’m hoping that it will be West.
