It was the underwater origami thing that convinced me it was satire. Apparently, it's real:

No such luck. I’m in Indianapolis. Our plans to have our Labor Day Dividers Across America Campaign fell though due to Labor Day sales at Walmart and Krogers.

There’s apparently a serial rapist on the loose in Ann Arbor but when police suggested that women not go out alone at night, the nags went ballistic at that “misogynistic” thinking.
Stupidity is usually self inflicted.

As in the same degree as the Global Warming Alarmist go ballistic that there is a big hot ball in the sky called the Sun ( our nearest star ) that incidentally keeps us all alive and gives life to every living thing here on earth, and incidentally heats up other planets... of course ? they would find a reason to ban the sun in the sky if they could.

Im more annoyed by the lack or inaccessibility of the darn things when you want them. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that people are stealing them ... if only to prove that they can.

Democrat/progressive policy-making can be summed up simply: They focus effort on attention-getting non-problems, and ignore the real, hard problems.
Attention-getting non-problems:
- Gay Marriage
- Urban sprawl
- Global warming
- Peak Oil
- Resurgent racism
Real, hard problems:
- Fiscal solvency
- Coherent, simple tax policy
