Palin Sends Shot Across GOP Field's Bow in Fiery Iowa Speech (including Perry)
Real Clear Politics ^ | Saturday September 3, 2011 | Scott Conroy

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Sarah Palin still isn't a candidate, but in an aggressive bid to lay down her marker in the 2012 Republican presidential race, she delivered a speech here Saturday that was as confrontational toward the Republican establishment as it was aimed at President Obama.

Despite her high-profile endorsement of Rick Perry during his 2010 gubernatorial primary fight, Palin used thinly veiled language to leave little doubt that she sees the Texas governor and national front-runner for the Republican nomination as part of the problem.

“Some GOP candidates, they also raise mammoth amounts of cash,” Palin said. “We need to ask them, too: What, if anything, do their donors expect from their investments? We need to know this because our country can’t afford more trillion-dollar thank-you notes to campaign backers.”

Again and again, Palin urged her audience to confront “the permanent political class,” “crony capitalism” and “the good ol’ boys,” whom she said she took on as governor of Alaska.

[.....]

“They’ve got a lot of mouths to feed, a lot of corporate lobbyists, a lot of special interests that are counting on them to keep the good times and the money rolling along,” Palin said. “It doesn’t surprise me. I’ve seen this kind of crony capitalism before.”

Apologies.

Ostensible conservatives that back St.Sarah, are committed to tearing down every conservative candidate not named Palin.

Once upon a time we had Broken Glass Republicans.

Now we have a hardcore cadre of Nobody But Palinistas.

And Mittens deserves what he gets. He’s half a lib.

But the rest...really?

Go to any Perry thread...watch the vitriol.

Seems to me that is more a shot at Romney then Perry

"Every single serious GOP candidate needs millions in campaign contributions."

Not necessarily...'millions in campaign contributions' isn't her goal, she would rather have 'millions of campaign contibutors!' Net result; 'hundreds of millions' to defeat OBozo.

He did that after Tancredo had been doing it, and he used Tancredo’s issue to run for president.

Firstly, I see you've backed down from your erroneous statement that "Every politician except Tancredo is for amnesty." Wise move, as it was 100% untrue.

Tancredo served in congress from 1999 to 2009, or 17 years LESS than Duncan Hunter Senior. I've known Sr since he defeated Lionel Van Deerlin in 1980 and he has been an ardent defender of our borders for the 32 years that I have known him. He never favored amnesty and was the driving force behind building a fence on our border. To say “he used Tancredo’s issue to run for president” proves you have no clue what you are talking about. You clearly know nothing about Duncan Hunter.

You are preaching to the choir. I am appalled at the level of anger, disrespect and, as you put it and I cannot improve upon, vitriol that has dominated certain threads of late. Are we not all conservatives? It doesn’t seem that way any more. People who should be on the same general side are going for each others’ jugular.

There are actually candidates I will not support because their FR defenders are so vicious. If the candidate is a good, strong conservative, then he/she can be touted without resort to venomous personal attacks. Conservatives who go medieval on fellow conservatives are harming more than helping their candidate.

Leave the viciousness to moonbat sites; conservatives ought to be able to disagree without bashing each other bloody.

"Well, it was. Ole Rick likes to lives high on the hog. When the Governor’s mansion caught fire and became useless, he chose to live in the high-rent district."

You know, your comment is like you're "lookin' for fly fecal matter in pepper!"

Substance or silence...please!

If only her 3.2-million-plus Facebook fans send her an average of $100 each as soon as she announces, theres a third of a billion $$ in one 24-48 hour period.

My wife, my sister and I are sending her $2,000 each as soon as she announces.

I know many in the $500-$2,000 range, very few of whom are on Facebook.

Do the math, genius.

-So if Palin runs, she isn't going to take big donations?"

It wouldn't be so bad if it was just "taking" big donations, but the "payback" after the "donations". It's called, "CORPORATE CRONY CAPITALISM"

They're going to be forced to find a new term for this. "Money Bomb" will sound so inconsequential after Sarah establishes the 'new norm'.

These anti-Palin draezels will seize on any straw in a windstorm to try to poke her in the eye with. They're just that hysterical, and the closer we get to "A-Day", the more histrionic and appoplectic their spastic gesticulations and projectile droolings will get.

Take it to the bank, laughing all the way.

"Right now she shows a double digit deficit against O."

Right. And FOX NEws has been spewing a "poll" that says that 72% of everyone, and 66% of Tea Party voters don't even want her to run.

National Review Online takes a poll (right now) asking "Who would be the better conservative "Standard Bearer" (as in GOP Nominee):

36,000 votes in:

Perry 23%

Palin 77%

But how did this happen?!? This is not my lovely slanted puke poll!

LMAO!!!!!

Herman who?

Then clearly you need to educate yourself before making an informed decision, like a responsible conservative would.

No, Sarah is no Reagan.

Sarah makes Reagan look like John Kerry on quaaludes. What she did in less than one term as Governor Reagan would have taken 15 terms to accomplish, as if in molasses. Reagan was wonderful, but Palin is superhuman.

Deal with it.
