We of the Clan Bell love 'em too! Be nice to hear them at her inauguration, wouldn't it?
I posted the YouTube link to her speech on my Facebook page tonight. I'll do more tomorrow. And the next day. And the next....
Count me in with Bagpipes, too!
My dad was born in Scotland - guess that accounts for it!
On my birthday in 1996, my daughters hired a local piper.
He came into the living room, and we had a blast - made more special because my then 80 year old Dad was visiting from way out of state.
In the 80’s, my daughters also hired a piper for my Dec. birthday. We went up and down our street, with the piper doing his best to play some Christmas tunes we could sing to, as well as the ‘Happy Birthday’ song!
Great times!
Sure we can hope Sarah has Bagpipes for her big day!
Well said!!
You and I had a bit of disagreement over the “blood libel” thing, if I remember correctly, but I can’t recall you being someone constantly running her down. Then again, it doesn’t take much these days to get tagged with PDS.
If you mean ‘gay’ the way it usually means today, and if that ‘comedian shipped in from L.A.’ is Eric Golub (sp?), I can tell you he is not gay.
I’ve heard him speak twice and have 2 of his autographed books. He goes by ‘Tygrrrr Express.’
Between the 2 times I heard him, at least a year had passed, and he remembered my name. We both grew up on Long Island, so have a commonality.
I’m on his e-mail list and Eric is super-prolific.
A huge sports fan, too. Knows a ton of stuff.
I’ve e-mailed personally with him, also!
His take on politics and politicians is hilarious. His delivery is Jewish-funny, because he is a Jew who is also a Republican!
He is constantly on the go from one end of the country to the other, speaking to one Republican group after another.
Don’t know how he manages to do it all.
You may want to look for him in your neighorhood.
Consider Googling him, or Tygrrr Express.
Lastly, I am not his agent!
It appears Palin and Perry are in agreement about no corporate taxes - Perry was saying this 3 weeks ago.
That makes it easy to avoid the loons like Shep Smith, OReilly, Beckel and Chris Wallace.
((((
They are on my “definitely avoid” list, too. I do not understand why Bob Beckel has one minute of air time. His comments are as obnoxious as Al Sharpton’s.
The Undefeated this evening on PPV.
Exactly what my day consisted of, Art
Coupling yesterday's speech with watching "The Undefeated" afterword, I am blown away by the vision and drive if this magnificent warrior SARAH PALIN
I am more convinced then ever that she is the leader of the next American Revolution and in the history books, will be known as the "Mother of Our Country"
Just changed my tag!
forgot the “more” after convinced...sorry guys
After having read 1349 replies there are a few things which need to be said:
Unlike an empty vessel, we know what she contains. She is not a candidate into which someone can pour their hopes and dreams. She is a candidate for adults. A candidate for those who will give and work, not take and rest.
I'm not convinced she can lead simply because I don't think the majority will follow her. She represents my values but a one-half term Alaska Governor (who resigned under fire) vaulting to POTUS is a tough sell to the American people. There is no doubt she is a red meat conservative, and appeals to people like us. She is no Ronald Reagan, in that he was a successful two term governor of the the most populous state in the nation. He was able to harvest what became known as the Reagan Democrats. I don't see Sarah as being able to play in that electoral league. I do see her as able to usher in an Obama second term; I don't think she will run because of that; she loves this country too much to let Obama have a second term (which is what her candidacy would probably do).
bttt
You wrote: “...but a one-half term Alaska Governor (who resigned under fire)...”
Get your facts straight. She resigned because of the numerous frivolous lawsuits and FOIA Requests that she and her staff (State Employees on State Time) were answering from the DNC Operatives and Obama Thugs costing the State of Alaska millions of dollars and causing her family significant debt.
And by the way, she reached most if not all of her goals in the one-half term even to the point of investing money in the State of Alaska and giving it a budget surplus.
I so tired the “She quit” meme.
She quit for the larger picture in which she saw her roll expanded for the good of humanity!
You wrote: “And in terms of accomplishing something worthwhile that benefits society, she did more during her tenure as mayor of Wasilla than Barry has throughout his entire miserable life.”
Absolutely!
You wrote: “She quit for the larger picture in which she saw her roll expanded for the good of humanity!”
Amen... but from now on I’m going to say Sarah “resigned” because of the FOIA Requests and lawsuits.
I’m dealing with my liberal sister-in-law again about Sarah. I almost, almost got her turned.
I’ll see if I can find a place to listen to her speech.
All other candidates make me want to puke.
What a handsome first couple!
