Sources say ATF Acting Director Kenneth Melson is being moved out of the top job at the Bureau. It's not yet publicly known where he would go, but sources inside the Justice Department believe one option is a transfer to a position at Department of Justice headquarters. The Justice Department had no immediate comment, and did not confirm the move.
Melson's move would be another in a number of high-level personnel shifts, as the Inspector General continues investigating the so-called gunwalker scandal at the Justice Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

(It is possible to both promote Palin and support Bachmann at the same time, ya know.)

Oh the visit to Capitol Hill on July 4th has come back to bite him. They put him where they can keep a close watch over his activities. That's OK cover-ups usually never work in the long run - unless you are a Clinton.

And let’s not forget Melson refused to resign and said he would NOT be the fall guy and did whistle blow.

bingo. IMHO, he has a good case. He “blew the whistle” on July 4th. The gov’t retaliated today. His damages are sky high and I hope he pursues this.

as long as he’s still in the govt, they can influence what he says.

From the article linked (abc "news"):
"In the July 5,2011 letter (read more HERE) lawmakers who were once very critical of Melson and his tenure at ATF, have since changed their tune and are now urging the Attorney General to ensure Melson is being treated fairly even suggesting that action against Melson by the Justice Deparmtment could have the effect of intimidating others who might want to provide additional information to the committees.
Bingo! Now who will stop him? [Crickets]

CBS News....”so-called gunwalker scandal”
See B.... S...is the same as always

Nope that is what Obama is avoiding at all costs.Melson is being moved to inside mob protection of any more testimony at the department of Justice.
Obstruction of Justice from Obama and the Justice Department will get them before they succeed in any cover up and avoidance of Holder stepping down.
