Most likely a CCW holder.

Did you read your own post :)?
Fifth line.
Apart from the shock of the round hitting his physical person, I always like to imagine the surprise involved when some piece of walking filth finds out the world may be armed also.

I carry a small caliber handgun and my first thought upon reading this was that I wondered if my peashooter would do enough damage to prevent him firing back.
I keep a .357 in the house, but it's too heavy to carry around.
To: marktwain
watch the video it was a CCW holder and the sheriff did his best ‘well we don't recommend it but he didn't do anything wrong’ speech...

my carry pea shooter is a .380 Colt Mustang...I would not try it with a guy with a 12 gauge if I didnt think I would get a clean head shot...preferably the back of his head...

I don’t always read the entire articles, as I have limited time and wish to get them posted. Thanks for the info. I usually read them in more detail later.

The customer was licensed to carry a concealed weapon. Yep. Most likely a CCW holder.
WV is a "shall issue" state.

Wow! every other story this morning gives news of bad guys getting shot!
That tends to get the day off to a good start!

Good shoot. CCW gives robbers a whole new set of calculations to deal with.
That old guy in the back corner of the store might just put one behind your ear.

Mine’s a .32 and, like you, I would want a head shot...in fact, multiple head shots just to be safe.

Might have been different if the EMT’s hadn’t decided to drive through Morgantown on the way :)

I carry a small caliber handgun Not sure what you mean by "small caliber" ... my thinking is that "handgun" and "small caliber" are synonymous. ;'}
That said, there are several surprisingly compact 9mm handguns on the market that are quite concealable. The Ruger LC9 and SIG-Sauer P239 are examples.

A both sad and good ending for sure. With the way things are going around the country it’s likely to be a more frequent happening. Being prepared is a key to survival,Both wife n I carry (ccw)

There's a reason they call a .45 ACP round “A flying ashtray”. .45’s come in all sizes for the whole family.

Hot damn , this is my kind of story.

Peashooter advice:
Keep firing until its clear he’s down.
If you’re not a large person, it’s hard to select the perfect carry weapon.
The mix of caliber, gun weight, and size, conspire against effective 2nd shots.
I’m slim and have a Sig P220 carry.
The key for me is wearing it at my 5:00 position (right, rear).
Good for walking, not for driving.
It’s NOT a small weapon, but very effective and reliable.(.45)
