Ames, Iowa Political organizer Peter Singleton tells National Review Online that Sarah Palin will likely launch a presidential campaign by the end of September. I believe that she will run, he says. I cant see her sitting this election out.
Palin, a former Alaska governor, is scheduled to address a tea-party rally on September 3 in south-central Iowa. Singleton is one of the forces behind the event, working with grassroots groups. Labor Day will kick off the Republican campaign for the nomination, he hints. She is going to make a major, major speech.

GOP presidential contenders, from Rick Perry to Mitt Romney, will be in for a shock when Palin makes her entry, he predicts. When she gets in the race, I would not want to be the other candidates, who have shamelessly whispered to Iowa Republicans for months that she is not running, he says. There will probably be some defections.

the very idea of it pushing obama over the edge. he’s caved before her just like he does before michelle every single day.
“END” of September? What is going on? The next thing we will here is the “END” of October.
The debates will heat up

And there will also be some "defications," as many in the GOP elite ranks soil their depends.
END of September”? What is going on?

I’m afraid that if Sarah does not announce Sept. 3rd, that a lot of her supporters, who do love her, will say: “Enough is enough” and settle in on another candidate. Right now, my second choice, after Sarah, is Perry; followed by Bachmann. Come on Sarah; we love you but we can’t wait forever for you forever.
I still don’t think she is running.
Who gonna run her campaign, where are the rumors of her starting to hire professional campaign managers? You can’t run a national wide campaign without paid staff and advisors.
Where is the evidence she has been lining up financial backers? Think of all the things we heard when Perry was gearing up to start his campaign... nearly all of those type things are completely absent from this situation. It takes MONEY (a lot of money) to run a nation wide campaign. Obama is expected to raise 1 BILLION dollars, and you are telling me Palin hasn’t even approached ONE big donor? Because if she had, there would be rummors of her doing so.
I really think the big speech is to declare that she is not going to run, but will instead actively campaign for conservative Republicans, and she might even endorse Perry.
I don’t see any organizational people (if that is who we are talking about in terms of “defections”) leaving anybody’s camp for Palins. Not because of any inherent problem Palin’s candidacy might have but because she has so eschewed the establishment. You can’t spend years badmouthing an entire career group then expect them to come and help your campaign. By the same token I suspect she knows that and is planning a very unconventional campaign.
If Sarah entered the race, no doubt the race will be shook up!!! However, I would caution that everything in the article is completely speculative. No one close to Sarah made these comments. The comments about her getting in were all people who are pulling for her to get in. Big difference.
I think she will run just to influence the out come..do not underestimate her...everybody she ran against has and most lost..
Here's something you should know better than most.
I'm sure you remember, "Hurry up and wait."
;>)
Have a good one soldier.
Palin isnt’ running.
You forgot the sarcasm marker
I can wait. I think the longer she waits, the better.
Remember that all the talk and speculation for a Sept. 3rd announcement was all from ourselves, NOT anything official. Palin has never once said she would announce on Sept. 3rd.
She has said “around September on a couple occasions and “around” can mean anything from a couple days, weeks or months when you consider that she first mentioned Sept. months ago.
As I have maintained on several posts, I still think she’s following Sun Tzu’s playbook and will announce at an unexpected moment that will inflict maximum impact on the race and maximum chaos on the media and RINOs.
When she said “unconventional, I take her at her word and that indicates not following the ‘convention’ of announcing in a conventional manner.
Many are still waiting on the sidelines to pick their candidate.
