The Secret Service has revealed to Talking Points Memo that the government has purchased two armored buses for use by President Barack Obama and Republican candidates in the 2012 presidential campaign and beyond.

Much ado about nothing. Not much money in the great scheme of things Aye, there's the rub. That's $2.2M, for 3 days' use. That's the complete federal tax payments of ~220 families - people who, if told "your entire 2011 federal tax payment was blown by the Obama campaign on using a bus for 20 minutes" they'd be, um, irritated.
And that's the point of the late "debt ceiling" debacle: an endless litany of such little "oh, that's not much money in the great scheme of things" adding up to >$1T we don't have.
