What an utter admission of failure, that after 50 years of the most lavish welfare state in the solar system, you cannot govern your country without soaking the citizenry in cold water and bombarding them with missiles from a safe distance. A south American country whose name escapes me, had a novel idea with the water cannons. They sprayed rioters with the water...and a “harmless” blue dye. It would give the skin a blue “smurf like” tinge and would wear off after a few days. Of course it would be enough suspicion to ID and question someone.
And the ones that were not in class for a few days...they got IDed also.
They should have used the idea as a promo for the new “Smurf” movie!

You can say that again. To think Great Britain once ruled the civilized world and was both feared and respected. Now it's a laughing stock.
Mrs. Thatcher was probably the last prime minister who understood that liberalism isn't just ineffective. It's evil. It dehumanizes people. It's immoral. The rioters are neither poor nor downtrodden. They are immoral.
Western Civilization has been coasting for decades on its Judeo-Christian past. Today's generations no longer know how we got here or why, and I think the cultural train has finally jumped the tracks.
Totalitarian government is the end result if people cannot govern their own evil impulses. That's where Britain (and the US) is ultimately headed, because liberty is doomed if people don't return to Judeo-Christian concepts of individual morality and responsibility.

What’s funny is the way liberals try to deal with the ravening evil they’ve created. It’s like trying to reason with a feral tiger.
Every time the left fails it simply doubles down and says it didn’t go far enough to create a fair society. Frankly, I don’t think they’ll ever wake up. What we need to do is reach those in the middle who still have some semblance of sanity left.

That said, socialism is an iniquity from hell. It is evil. It deprives the sheeple of their human rights because they are too stupid to recognize/understand what is going on in the ‘management’ of their lives.
And when socialist governments (Cameron’s is socialist) crack down, they do so with a vengencence.
GB has noe ‘conservative’ gov’t options...just varied forms of socialism...same here...not much difference between the socialism of the Democrats and the Republicans. Both generally are evil.

I am in the middle of Thatcher’s autobiography—what an Iron Lady! She was incredibly smart—had a chemistry degree from Oxford and then got a law degree—She had read and understood Hayek before she was 22 years old and had read Karl Popper’s philosophical book on the Poverty of Historicism. She understood how evil socialism was—the Road to Serfdom at 22.
They need a thousand Thatcher’s to save England. Sad—the home of Milton, Wilberforce, Newton, Shakespeare—so many great minds.
