Just donated to perry and bought bumper sticker & yard sign (I am in)

Posted on 08/14/2011 6:43:59 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I just committed myself 15 mins ago. My first round donation is done. Was always looking for the winnable conservative candidate with extensive executive experience. Between Romney and Perry, choice is clear. Only other possible entrant is Palin and she interested me as a reform minded GOP Governor who was a VP candidate. While she may enter the race and be more to the right of Perry, I am not looking for the "right most" candidate.

Speaking of Perry improving education for Texans, Dallas hired Atlanta’s test cheating superintendent. Yea, she had good scores, but she and her colleagues had answer erasure and correction parties to improve APS student’s scores on standarized minimum requirement tests.

I think Dallas has since fired her. But who did the vetting? Apparently no vetting is required when applying to the Dallas Board of Education. Certainly Perry has nothing to do with it.

Was that pic taken before we knew that ACORN was voter frauds?

Are you serious? Are you suggesting Perry is merely stupid, or merely ill informed?

Amen to that.....The political insiders like Karl Rove don’t want any kind of outsider like Sarah Palin to win the nomination and they probably dislike Michele Bachmann as well.

How does Texas’ creating 40% of the nation’s new jobs help the other 49 states? Uhm...it doesn’t. Not until the guy responsible is elected the the WHITE HOUSE. Get it?

Ok, the mantra seems to be Perry created jobs in Texas. Was there new legislation he initiated, then got passed, which created jobs?

There was a pic of McDemocrat with them too. Reagan would have taken a pic with them before anyone knew they were Obama’s mob squad. There was a time that no one knew ACORN were the thieves they are and it was very PC and no reason not to take a pic with community organizers. They were like the black red cross before Obama’s election who knew?

Perry is a friend of the Aga Khan, .........the Islamic’ religious leader’ of the Ismailis, a sect of Shia Islam that claims a reported 15 to 20 million adherents worldwide.

Sprouting from that friendship are at least two cooperation agreements between the state of Texas and the Islamic Ismaili institutions,...... including a far-reaching program ‘to educate Texas schoolchildren about Islam.’

No it's just that Texas has benefited from companies and people relocating from high tax states, etc, like California.
Texas made itself business friendly and picked up all that accordingly.

Ismailis are considered heretic Muslims by mainstream Sunni and Shia for basically being too mellow. I cringe at the word moderate Muslim, but insofar as they exist, Ismailis would be it.

I don’t know what you know about Perry but I see him as a flip flopper who can be liberal one moment and now has conservative rhetoric spewing forth like a geyser.

Over the years he’s proven that from signing hate crimes legislation in 2001 (that GW Bush opposed) to advocating for open borders with Mexico including planning to seize land to build a superhighway for Mexican travel into the US.

The mandating of Guardasil vaccinations for young girls to prevent a sexually transmitted disease was bad enough, but the really dirty thing is that Perry was taking money (campaign money) from the company that made the drug.

Perry is one of those Karl Rove type business backed “electable” candidates who in the end will just run up the national debt tab at a slower rate of speed than Obama.

BS. That is the biggest lie I have heard in years. My state takes 3 percent a year which equals to about 2,450 dollars on state taxes every year. I pay 7000 on property taxes every year.......you are obviously misinformed because you never paid state taxes.

Perry’s comments regarding AgA Khan....

Let us work together for the common good, knowing we are united by a common bond of humanity. We have a joint mission that transcends all differences, to make the world a better place. We are so fortunate to have an international leader who bridges those differences, who bridges East and West, to build one path to peace and prosperity, His Highness, the Aga Khan.

I’m just about right there with you, although there is no way Obama wins my state regardless of whether or not I vote Perry.
