1 pm EDT -- moments from now -- awaiting Perry speech announcing he is officially running for president
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
I’m nominating Louie Gohmert for everything these days, but he can’t run with Perry because they’re both from Texas.
Perry will not drop out anytime soon. Bank on it.
Maybe you can explain this to me........
As soon as a thread is introduced to talk about a certain candidate, certain people, and oddly enough, it’s the same people, come out of the woodwork to attack that candidate.
The same people......and the attacks get personal and then those who ask the attackers to prove their attacks, the answers are something like “it’s out there, go find it”
Don’t you find that odd?
I can see your point about (paraphrasing in my own words) how a politician must entertain that group of people as voters. But the whole thing where he actually brought about getting them involved with teachers makes me .. uncomfortable.
I would like to learn more about how he will handle this, especially sharia law and it’s implementation. It is so far against the grain of American values and so many politicians refuse to even touch the subject that it is just taking over. As it did in the UK .. it is happening here.
Naturally Obama has embraced it and accelerated the mess. But whoever replaces him in ‘12 needs to put the breaks on and draw the lines in the sand.
LOL, you may be the only dimwit that would hijack a thread to obsess over somebody you don’t agree with, on a thread that has nothing to do with said person.
The topic is Perry...try keep’n up.
After reading Perry’s speech, reading this thread, seeing the apoplectic effect of the mere mention of Perry on DU, & watching his speech, I’m much more positive than I was just 24 hours ago.
I’d be fine with Santorum, Bachmann, Cain, Palin, etc. But I think that Perry is probably the guy who can take down Romney and then landslide Obama.
Wow...Perry has stirred up quite a tizzy here. That in itself says alot, doesn’t it?
Yes, it does.
Now I don’t know if he’ll win. I have settled on him as my choice but sometimes I pick the eventual nominee and sometimes I don’t. But this is the first real energy I’ve felt circling the race. At the least any Perry’s entrance will force the others to kick it into another gear. I mean just how hard is it to say what he did today? He articulated a solid case against Obama without the slightest hint he was holding back. I needed to hear that and yes the Left is going to go crazy if he’s the nominee. He’s going to go at Obama’s throat and not back down. Looking forward to that.
Don, why do you pretend to be stupid?
Palin supported the Republican that happened to be Perry, against the HEAD of the TEXAS TRUTHERS.
You are hypnotized by NWO Perry.
Did you notice that he was way down near the bottom in Iowa?
He’s going to fold his pup tent as fast as he propped it up. Nobody is going to spend money on an essential no-show.
His poor showing in Iowa is a sample of things to come.
All of his ‘support’ was in heavily loaded push polls meant to prop him up for Iowa. He’ll do no better anywhere else. He is toast.
Wow.
He was near the bottom on the very day he announced with no effort to participate in the Iowa straw poll and having not set foot in the Iowa State Fair.
Yet your girl Sarah inserted herself into the mix, showed up to gladhand at the fair and didn’t get nearly as many votes under the exact same circumstances (no organized effort to garner any straw poll votes).
OK I got it. Thanks.
Did you get it?
Palin has never in her life been inflated by a push poll. Perry was 100% push poll and zero reality.
I agree with everything you said....the fun is just beginning. It’s going to be a wild ride.
Bottom line for me? Obama’s gotta go. Period.
Huh? A straw poll is not and cannot be a push poll.
A push poll is a survey. This was a vote.
Really. You should know that.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE admit that if Sarah had won (after all, she was there yesterday) you Palinistas would have been shouting it from the rooftops. A little intellectual honesty from your quarter would be refreshing.
Playing dumb?
I was talking about all the high dollar push polls that had run in the past week to “create” Perry for Iowa.
I live in Iowa, and I’ve been talking to friends all over country, including Texas, about the Perry candidacy. Fact is, it’s completely manufactured. Astro-turf to the max. There is no big push that I can discern by anyone except Republican poohbahs for his candidacy. Not regular folks anyhow.
They’re hoping they can “fake it til he makes it.”
For me the best line was, "Ill work every day to make Washington, D.C. as inconsequential in your life as I can."
That's how it should be.
Keep the info...you’ll need it to post back to turds that haven’t a clue when it comes to this subject and Perry.
