Police departments in several cities around the country are investigating what appear to be incidents of "flash mob"-generated violence, in which packs of dozens or even hundreds of youths appear seemingly out of nowhere to commit assaults, robberies and other crimes against innocent bystanders.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the attacks that have resulted in numerous arrests around the country are being investigated -- and law enforcement officials in at least one city are looking into a possible racial component to the crimes.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, who recently imposed a stricter curfew in response to the city's latest attack, addressed black youths directly from the pulpit of his church on Sunday, reportedly saying, You have damaged your own race.
"If you want
anybody else to respect you and not be afraid when they see you walking down the street, then leave the innocent people who are walking down the street minding their own damn business. Leave them alone," Nutter told a mostly black congregation at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

More of you delusions. Anyone who has cared has seen how you just flat out LIE, make up stuff out of thin area and avoid every refutation that is handed you.
There simply was NO tyrannical federal government in 1860 and all but staunch, blind devotees of the Slaverocracy admits it. It was an impossibility. It took the Union almost a year to create any kind of credible fighting force and longer to find fighting generals.
You cannot get over that clear and concrete FACT.
Your problem is that you’ve not presented one accurate fact. NOT ONE. As far as I’m concerned you need to get over yourself. I know these facts like the back of my hand.
You are getting warts confused with facts.
FACT 1: there was NO federal tyranny in 1860. The gov. and army were TINY.
FACT 2: Slavers had been working for secession for almost a decade.
FACT 3: Slavers fought the war ENTIRELY for fear of slavery being abolished.
FACT 4: Tariffs were not an issue and had been declining since 1828.
FACT 5: Firing on United States Military institutions was an act of War just as bombing Pearly Harbor or attacking the US on 911.
FACT 6: There is ONE way to change the Union or constitution and that is by amendment. Conventions called by state authorities have no legal basis for changing the Union. NO individual state action can change the Union.
FACT 7: The US Constitution gives the government the clear authority to suppress insurrection and put down rebellion. NO matter how it tries to dress its treason as reason.
FACT 8: Slavery was not on its way out and was the reason the South lagged in economic, social and educational development compared to even the poorest of Northern states.
Planters, the ruling class, wasted the riches they could achieve and preferred to keep the poor whites ignorant and illiterate.
FACT 9: Slavery was inhuman and degraded both master and slave. It also forced non-slave holder to man slave patrols. Hence it also enslaved non-slaveholders.
FACT 10: Had the Slavers succeeded the ENTIRE WORLD would have suffered since the greatest beacon of freedom in history would have been extinguished by a society hundreds of years behind it in every category of social development.
There are hundreds more facts ready to throw at you.
In fact, there is not ONE fact justifying fighting to retain slavery.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Had the south succeeded the Union would STILL have been saved, idiot. And most likely been a better place with states right fully restored. AND, because the slaves would’ve been educated and allowed to assimilate in their homeland. Which many of them did anyway despite the racists in the north and their tyrannical government.
I’m not getting warts, just pointing out your lies and lack of facts. You have NONE!
Name one “state right” which had been taken away by the federal government in 1860. Only one will do, otherwise your entire argument collapses. Just ONE will do.
It was AGAINST the law in some of the southern states to even teach slaves to read and write. What a LIAR you are. At first I believed you were hopelessly ignorant but the inevitable conclusion is that, even worse than that, you are a LIAR and knowingly spread falsehood after falsehood.
“...tyrannical government.” in 1860 hilariously stupid and a conscious LIE.
OK, here’s one tyranny...we’re going to force you to release your slaves...the federal government did not have the power to do that. Plus the north didn’t have any qualms about using children for slaves, and nobody even raised a hue and cry about it until the early 1900’s. But the many states did and had passed laws protecting the children.
How about the federal government’s suppression of women’s rights to vote? Including denial of the same right to American indians.
How about the federal government granting corporations the same rights as individuals, which also violates states rights?
How about the usurpation of the state’s water rights?
Here’s another, we’re going to force you to buy products manufactured in the northern states by ruining your economy with high tariffs on imports AND exports.
And here’s another one...how about sending abolitionists into the states to murder, and not holding them accountable.
Shall I continue?
“OK, heres one tyranny...were going to force you to release your slaves...the federal government did not have the power to do that.” In 1860? With the Democrat still in office? ROFLMAO. Naturally, this is just another of your LIES. Buchanan was pro-slavery with a cabinet filled with traitors working for secession. NEVER HAPPENED.
Now after the Slavers declared war and started shooting US military personnel, Lincoln went after their slaves. NOT TYRANNY at all.
Women’s right to vote? God are you ignorant. Anyone who understands the constitution knows that NOTHING in the federal constitution prevented women from voting. Eligibility for voting was TOTALLY in the hands of the state not the feds. Some states even allowed illegal aliens to vote. When speaking of who is eligible to be Senators, President, VP the Constitution speaks of “persons” who could fill the office NOT “MEN”. You are an embarrassment. At least READ the constitution, even if there is no hope you will understand it.
The worst of the feds’ Indian policies were enacted under and by the Democrats controlled by Southern politicians. There was no Pro-Indian sentiment in the South. Texas Rangers were killing all they could get their hands on.
There were no usurpation of any rights water or otherwise in 1860. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WAS tiny. It couldn’t “usurp” a tea cup.
No one was “forced” to buy anything. Of course, the distortions of slavery prevented the rise of a capitalist class which could invest in Southern manufacturing so southerns had no choice but to import products either from the North or from England. But since this affected the wealthy there was no harm to most poor whites and slaves. So the plantation owners and slave-drivers had to pay more for their luxuries, NO ONE CARES, it was their own fault.
There was no sending of abolitionists into the South by any federal authority. Buchanan was pro-slavery as was EVERY president except JQ Adams. So the South was afraid of ideas about freedom and liberty as declared in the Declaration of Independence. Its Rulers, the Slavers, tried to suppress Free Speech CLEARLY showing where the “tyranny” was.
Please continue, in case someone else is ignorant enough to try the same dumb LIES they will see how easy it is to blow them to smithereens.
It is rather frightening to see so much ignorance and deceit on display, though.
Ha! I’m waiting for your typing fingers to fall off...keep on keeping on...you have no facts, just blah blah blah.
You’re right. The federal government didn’t have the power to do that. So why did the north elect a man who would try it?
Lincoln had no authority whatsoever in South Carolina and should’ve withdrawn his troops. Why didn’t he?
You can blah blah blah till the cows come home, but the feds fought sufrage all the way down the line.
And the rest of your typing is just KRAP, as usual.
Type your little fingers to the bone. Or how about finding somebody else to try to convince with your lies. That sounds really good to me. How about it?
Sorry, but you’re gong to have to take to stuff to somebody else and try to convince them of this delusion you’re spining. Good luck.
There was no feds “fighting suffrage” anymore than there was a Southern drive for it. It was a state issue and some states allowed women to vote prior to the amendment, western states. This as an example of federal tyranny is pathetically inadequate and laughable. But there are no legitimate examples of "federal tyranny" in 1860. Fort Sumter was without question federal property in 1861 and as long as we wished. No legal theory provides any support for South Carolina's attack on it.
Everything I have said has been right, everything you have said is either ignorance or a flat out LIE. But you can slink away at any time, it is no effort for me to counter and crush your delusional falsities.
The federal government in 1860 was tiny and incapable of “tyrannizing” over anyone. Its army was equally tiny.
Like I said, you need to go convince somebody else with your delusions of grandeur about the Civil War. Because yo facts ain’t right.
You haven’t pointed to ONE fact that I have stated that is wrong while I have massively refuted EVERY lie you have told. Just surrender before you keep making an A$$ out of yourself.
There was NO tyrannical federal government in 1860. It was TINY and its army was almost non-existent. You simply cannot get away from this concrete and indisputable FACT, slither and squirm as you might.
Go convince some other person with your delusions of a grand cause...I know better.
You have shared what you “know” and conclusively proven that you know NOTHING. Federal tyranny was IMPOSSIBLE in 1860. Slaver tyranny was so clear most of the nation was revolted.
Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah! Like I said, go convince somebody else of your delusions of a grand noble cause that was a dirty war of economics and tyranny.
“...a dirty war of economics and tyranny.” Exactly, an archaic economic structure supported by tyrants attacked the United States of America. Fortunately, Lincoln gave them their just deserts but, unfortunately, they dragged down their region for a century with their insane war. REEEEAL smart those ole boys real smart.
Fortunately Lincoln got his arse shot off by a bunch of pissed off Americans who put a stop to his incompetence, and who’d lost 800,000 of their family members in the north and the south.
