Questions Arise Over Whether 'Flash Mob' Attacks in U.S. Cities Motivated by Race
Fox News ^ | 8/10/2011 | fox news

Police departments in several cities around the country are investigating what appear to be incidents of "flash mob"-generated violence, in which packs of dozens or even hundreds of youths appear seemingly out of nowhere to commit assaults, robberies and other crimes against innocent bystanders.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the attacks that have resulted in numerous arrests around the country are being investigated -- and law enforcement officials in at least one city are looking into a possible racial component to the crimes.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, who recently imposed a stricter curfew in response to the city's latest attack, addressed black youths directly from the pulpit of his church on Sunday, reportedly saying, “You have damaged your own race.”

"If you want …anybody else to respect you and not be afraid when they see you walking down the street, then leave the innocent people who are walking down the street minding their own damn business. Leave them alone," Nutter told a mostly black congregation at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

It was in WI that the fair took place.

I'm shocked the media would creatively edit footage to fit their story line.

CCW seems to be at the root of the resolution of all parking disputes in Virginia ~ they simply don't happen anymore ~ haven't for years!

People are more polite.

We did have a CCW shootout between a truckdriver and a sportscar driver a couple of years ago ~ but that's the only one I've heard of.

Not really, my statement is pretty plain. But IMHO there were a lot of people killed in 1860’s in an economic war that turned into this grand cause called abolition.

Yep, I have noticed that in the CCW states, this mob attacking stuff does not go on because of not being certain who has packed heat among their person.

Question: I have read that PA is a CCW state, is that true? Thank-you.

This isn't just going on in Philly. It is going on all over the place. I give props to the Philly Mayor for calling a spade a spade.

Here in Crook County I am damn glad I got my gun license. If any flash mob wants to come visit me they will be making a huge mistake.

OK, we have the human race. And what other race factors in here?

This is not about race. It’s about a corrupt and defective subculture.

It’s usually the perpetrators that finally convince people that it IS indeed about race.

Right. And I’m not allowing the perpetrators to define this phenomenon.

If it were about “race,” then Herman Cain would share the guilt.

Your statement is pretty plainly nonsense which is why you cannot elaborate upon it, just as I expected would be the case.

The RAT Rebellion of 1861 was entirely political. It wasn’t because of tariffs or any other economic factor. The Slavers fear of Lincoln drove the rebellion. They knew their archaic economic system was doomed (being totally antithetical to everything the USA stood for) and tried to hold back the clock. Having held almost complete control of the government since its founding they knew the jig was up.

“You can’t just simply look at the race of the offender and the race of the victim and say it’s ethnic intimidation. It may be, but we’re not sure. Does it give us pause? Yes it does,” Ross said.

OMG!....They sure as hell would make up their damn minds if it was white on black crime!....What bullshit!

Well, if you want to believe the revisionist history of the leftie loonies, go right ahead.

But the fact is, what started the secessionist movement began in the depression of 1837 when the manufacturers and their organized labor were going bankrupt because their products cost too much. Much like what has happened here today. As the manufacturers were going bankrupt the agricultural south was still getting rich. Not only that, but the south quit buying the north’s goods because with their southern ports they could import what they wanted cheaper. Much like what’s happening today with companies moving to the right to work states in the south.

Did you notice that Wisconsin just woke up from it? And the union thugs are screeching like banshees? Even Michigan is starting to wake up.

Actually the south was full of republicans and democrats that united under one party to throw off the economic tyranny of the north. I think you’ve seen a similar rebellion in the Taxed Enough Already Party that organized itself today made up of conservative democrats, republicans and independents.

You see, it’s not about parties, it’s about tyrannical governments. Buchanan hadn’t a freaking clue what he was doing and insted lunched, wined and dined all of the elitest in DC, much like what is happening today.

And when Lincoln got the White House the south had seceded, his government coffers were depleted because he was getting NO TARRIFF’s off the southern ports. Instead of using diplomacy he listened to the wrong people and decided he could claim the southern Forts as belonging to the North. And the rest is history. He pulled his krap at Ft. Sumpter and the shooting started.

But get this...three years into the war when BOTH sides were tired of fighting it...instead of negotiating through diplomacy. He made the serious mistake of putting his grand Emancipation Proclamation together thinking he could just automatically free the slaves in the south which would boost up recruitment for his war effort when nobody was wanting to sign up for it anymore. It was a nice spin on the grand cause to free the slaves. But again, he made another mistake. He EXEMPTED all the five slave-holding states in the north, including Massachusetts whose whole economy was based on shipping slaves.

You talk about a bunch of pixxed off people in the south. They came back and beat Lincoln’s generals arse all the way back to Gettysburg and if it hadn’t been for the one mistake of placement of the south’s ammo dump, you would be living in the Confederated United States of America because the next march would’ve been on Washington DC. It would’ve been razed to the ground and most likely instead of Atlanta burning, it would’ve been your new capitol.

As far as the south archaic economical system, you are simply lying. As you know, the five slave-holding states in the north were exempted from emancipation. Not to mention that the south was already educating their slaves, the many giving them their own right to raise vegetables and sell them so they’d know how to manage money. They had allowed the slaves to set up their own court systems and schools.

Tyrannical government is what divided the states in 1800’s. Just like it’s dividing it today.

It’s also the dead people getting up to vote, and the thugs allowed inside the polling place. That didn’t used to be a big factor, but ACORN isn’t dead, either.

My knowledge of history has little to do with the Left. But I can tell immediately that yours is doubtful from your trying to pin inaccurate and defensive labels on me.

Contrary to your false claim, secession was something that worried George Washington warned the nation about in 1796 in his Farewell Address. He warned about the Jeffersonians essentially and, as Hamilton, called it their “womanish” attachment to the terrorists in France.

The Depression of 1837 was the result of Jackson’s ill-advised refusal to allow the Second Bank of the United States to be rechartered. His fanaticism sent the nation into a decade long tailspin.

None of this had anything to do with secession or led to it in any real way. In fact, slaveowners (or pro-slavery Northerners) were elected president from then until Lincoln. And their policies greatly benefited the slavers.

There was no “tyranny” in this nation outside the tyranny exercised by the slavers. Now that was tyranny such as existed at that time only in the most barbarous and primitive of nations.

Buchanan was pr0-slavery to the extent that he staffed his cabinet with actual traitors and would be traitors.

Lincoln tried to deal with the Mad Dogs but, as is always the case with Mad Dogs, that is impossible. They wanted war and did all they could do to achieve it because of their megalomaniac delusions. Grant and Sherman were the proper curative to those who believe they can attack the US Constitution, federal property and the US Military. Property that was CLEARLY and UNDOUBTEDLY property of the US government and people.

The government in 1860 was TINY and it did not impose unjust laws ANYWHERE, not even in the Land of the Whip and Lash, unless you are speaking of the Fugitive Slave Act, a horribly tyrannical laws enacted by the Slaver Congressmen.

It is a complete and utter LIE to portray the Land of the Whip and Lash as some peaceful, bucolic Paradise rather than its reality of a place where fear of slave revolt was an everyday concern. The FACT of slaves constantly trying to escape the inhumanity of slavery and the requirement of Northern states to become slave hunters shows the falsity of your silly claims. Slave states not only did NOT allow slaves to be education but had actual criminal laws FORBIDDING teaching even your own slaves how to read and write. Maybe lies are the only way you can try and defend the indefensible but they don’t work on people who actually know something about the history of the era. Don’t depend upon “Gone With the Wind” for your view of the slave system.

Massachusetts was not “shipping” slaves and slavery had been banned in all the North for decades by then. What crackpot did you find who claims THAT? US warships and the British Navy were constantly on patrol to intercept shipping of slaves from Africa.

Throwing out wild and utterly false claims doesn’t help any case you are trying to make. But I am sure that is all you have considering the outright falsehoods and distortions you claim to believe.

Yeah, well, I’ve heard this crackpot revisionist history before that represents not one FACT.

And the fact that we’re living in it again, almost exactly in step with what lead to the Civil War, is testament to my facts.

The crackheads in the north and their communism will get us all killed off once again, if we can’t manage to find a legal solution to the delusionals the freaking blue states keep electing to our congress.

Nice try, but no banana.

“And the fact that we’re living in it again, almost exactly in step with what lead to the Civil War, is testament to my facts.” Please, your pretense of the Happy Darkies is ridiculous. There wasn’t a single “fact” in your whole post. Nor is there ANY similarity with a society half slave and half free to one where EVERYONE is free. Your silliness is a good example of total ignorance however.

It is also pretty funny that the Blue states are the ones whose taxes go to the Red states. What happens when that welfare is cut off should secession be resorted to? LoL.

What blue state money? You guys have NO JOBS! You’re starting to have ghost towns. What are you guys going to do when all the ones that have the wherewithal to escape are gone? How are you going to support yourselves?

And yes, every word I said was factual. I realize that chaps you off, but then thems the breaks.
