I was introduced to him by the 1986 movie "Crossroads", which was about his legend. I can still hear Joe Seneca pointing to Ralph Macchio and saying, "This here boy's from Long Island. That's the cradle of the blues!"

I learned about Robert Johnson from an old black man named Leroy Black. He was a friend of my step-father. "Blackie" played an old Gibson dobro and played the blues for anyone who would listen. It was a lot like Skynyrd's "The Ballad of Curtis Lowe", except that my mom approved of me listening to him.

One of hubby’s cousins said it was 108 in Tulsa the other day. You guys have had a tough one this year!!

We hit 113 that day. Our all-time record high for any day is 115!
