President Obama has never run a business or been forced to negotiate unless he was in a position of overwhelming strength. He is obviously clueless as to how the real world works.
(The Hill) In the midst of a rebellion from his own colleagues, John Boehner faced a big decision.
It was 10 p.m. last Thursday, the most stressful moment of his Speakership.
Boehners debt-limit bill was short on votes, and the GOP leadership was forced to change the measure so it could attract the support of recalcitrant members. With dozens of reporters staking out the Speakers office and Democrats trying to contain their glee, Boehner could have pressed to work through the night to move the amended bill early Friday morning. . .
GOP aides and lawmakers, speaking on background, portrayed Boehner as the calm negotiator who repeatedly exasperated President Obama....

The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Well, my grandparents always said, “Children should be seen, not heard.” (They were talking about my brother.)
1) "I've got a complaint! I've got a complaint!"
2) "I'm going to be obnoxious and disruptive until I get what I want!"
3) "Give me money! You owe me!"
There is no there, there.
Never was.
Figures, the man’s a G*D* infant.
The bigger story here is not that they asked President Numbnuts to leave is that President Numbnuts asked Pelosi and Reid not to speak to the Republicans.
Isn’t this the same way the bin Laden (or as some journalists triped up & said Obama bin Laden:)take down went?
That’s the rumor: -that he is so inept that he is ignored by those who have the intelligence to make the hard choices.
John has to be voted out next go around. He is a sell out
Obama was asked to leave the room, probably to get the coffee for everyone.
The least experienced man in the room was asked to leave. Sounds reasonable to me.
Great. We rolled over even without him in the room. The GOP disgusts me.
“On July 23, they claim, the White House called Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), telling her not to participate on a call with Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Pelosi informed Reid, who declined to participate, and the call was canceled, the Republican sources said. (A Pelosi spokesman could not be reached for comment.) Later that day, the four leaders met with Obama at the White House. At one point, GOP officials said, the Democratic and Republican leaders asked Obama and his aides to leave the room to let them negotiate. A tentative deal was subsequently struck, but Obama privately threatened to veto it, the sources said. Reid has repeatedly denied that he ever signed off on such an agreement. The following day, staffers for Boehner, Cantor, Reid and McConnell continued to work on an agreement, according to Republicans. After more twists and turns and involvement from Vice President Biden a bipartisan deal was reached a week later. Seventy-three percent of House Republicans voted yes as 50 percent of House Democrats voted against their president. ”
