Oswego, NY A Pennellville woman on her way to Oswego County Family Court on Monday wound up with an appearance ticket for Oswego City Court charging her with unlawful possession of marijuana, sheriffs officials said.
Officials said Annemarie R. Fields, 21, of 78 Larned Road, was found possessing a metal smoking pipe containing marijuana residue as she passed through a magnetometer at the Public Safety Building, 39 Churchill Road.
Fields is to appear at city court on Aug. 25 to answer to the charge, which is a violation, officials said.
“How’d THAT get there? Must’ve spaced it out.”
Bailiff, whack her pee-pee!
Wait...what?
Corn cob!
She needs to be locked-up in prison for the next 25 years at mere cost to the tax payers of $50,000.00 per year or 1.25 million dollars for the entire stretch.
Unlawful possession of marijuana is classified by THE NYS legislature as a violation. A violation is the legal equivalent of a traffic ticket. I don’t think you have to worry about a twenty five year prison stretch.
Meanwhile 20 people with their glass crack pipes just walked on through. Why can’t we have full body x-rays? < /sarc>
sounds reasonable, after all, she had a pipe.
Residue is a violation?? She is in possession of ashes. Bet she gets out of this...
The first few months my town started using metal detectors in the courthouse produced a bonanza of knives, pipes and a couple of guns people stashed in the shrub beds outside the entry.
There on display somewhere in the building.
I’d say your over paid, over spending, corrupt government “Officials” are of more concern than some lady with a pot pipe.
Regarding government facilities, years ago I started seeing a vast array of video cameras, including roof top surveillance, then automated vehicle barriers, with card entries, bullet proof glass, electronic scan entries, dogs, body scans, metal detectors, being installed....Empty your pockets is routine, your sniffed, scanned, searched, and x-rayed in some of this facilities, as armed guards watch.
I started thinking, is this all for some foreign enemy?
About five years ago, my wife and I had the occasion to make several visits to the INS in Atlanta. Each time, we stood outside in a line, waiting to get through various levels of security. On one visit, the bureaucracy became so frustrating to my (saintly) wife that she told the paper pusher, Now I understand why there are metal detectors at the entrance".
Sure, it may hust look like a marijuana pipe, but what it she intended to use that pipe for more illicit purposes such as converting it into nuclear detanator or using the pipe not to smoke marjuana, but tobbaco?
lol...
