The debt ceiling deal will pass the Senate early this afternoon. No suspense there. But the vote will be worth watching for another reason: Three Republican Senate sources tell TWS that senators who vote against the deal will be ineligible to serve on the so-called “supercommittee” for deficit reduction that the legislation creates

Reid and Schumer are master legislators. Turkey neck McConnell can’t match them or is their willing dupe.

The establishment is out in full force to keep itself going.

Every real conservative senator should no longer pay any attention to McConnell. He is no longer their leader. They shouldn’t attend his meetings, they shouldn’t even speak to him. And they should deny every unanimous consent reqeust going forward, even if it’s to waive the reading of the journal.

Where did you get these stats? If there really is this much congressional criminal activity, some one ought to do a blog on it.

No, that’s from an email from AT LEAST 2005 and probably from an older original one than that = perhaps even from the 90’s.

They weren’t going to be picked anyway.

Yesterday a caller into CSPAN said that Pelosi would Chair the committee.

This bill is going to pass. We should tweet those conservatives and say Vote YES and clearly state why you are voting YES..that way there is nothing standing in the way of them being appointed. Then they can hammer it home later when they aren’t appointed.

.@stephenfhayes It’s like the #GOP has a blue-ribbon committee that develops new, innovative ways to completely screw things up.

Beck is talking about this now. It is crazy, if the panel that conservatives are not allowed on can't agree, the military and payment to medical providers are automatically cut.

This will weaken or security, and encourage people to demand Obamacare.

Eff you losers. We’ll find a way to overcome your idiocy.

Make a big deal about this in the news. Pressure the big spenders - every two years they answer to us. And in this environment, nobody wants to be the one(s) to promote the unbounded growth of gov’t.

The GOP bigs will come to regret that mistake.

He added: “I’m comfortable we aren’t going to raise taxes coming out of this joint committee.”

I hate this mealy mouthed crap - what Mitch is 'comfortable' with means zero, such assurances mean absolutely nothing.

I'd have more respect for him if he told us he won't raise taxes right away, at least not until Congress can drum up another financial crisis.

The TEA party is a big threat to the GOP. It will be attacked and marginalized. Or at least they will try to.

Same thing the Whigs did. Looks like the GOP will go the way of the Dodo.

Conservatives are no longer welcome in the Republican party. That is what this means.

IT IS TIME FOR A 3rd PARTY - IT WILL TAKE A COUPLE OF CYCLES (Not sure we have that much time).

We should refer to the Gang of Twelve by the more proper names: Politburo or Central Committee.

"Among those who have already declared their opposition to the deal: libertarian-leaning senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul; Jim DeMint, the aggressive fiscal hawk from South Carolina; conservative reformers Ron Johnson from Wisconsin and Pat Toomey from Pennsylvania; the ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee, Jeff Sessions; and Florida’s Marco Rubio, already one of the highest-profile conservatives in Congress."

Who ever proposed the exclusion of these valuable members should be made known to all of us along with any of the leadership that supports the idea.

We obviously have more house cleaning to do.

Remember, Ryan was a TARP man. No one in the current GOP leadership is there without being a complete go-along sellout when needed.

A nice thought, but 15% of Congress wasn’t arrested for DUI last year.

Reconfirms Gerald Celente’s observation that we don’t have a two party system. What we have is a two-headed one party system. A political elitist duopoly.
