Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said he would never agree to a debt ceiling deal that would require another vote before the end of 2012, and blamed extremists from blocking a deal now. Didn't he just say he was one of them?

Dear Hairy,
Are your feet getting warmer now that they are approaching the fire this weekend?

Um, doesn't that make him an extremist, by his own definition?

I see the House as discharging its responsibilities and the Senate sitting on its hands, Senator Reid. If you don’t like what the House has done, then DO SOMETHING. The problem is that you are afraid that your bloc might fracture if you put the House bill to a vote.

Is Reid suggesting that we "extremists" do not deserve representation? How foolish, and irresponsible, of him and his Party not to have considered this possibility when they had an absolute majority in Congress!

Will we fight back or will we just sit back and accept their premise?
The future of the country could very well depend on our answer to this question.

“.No, no, no. We cannot be in this battle all the time, Reid said. “
So, who’s the party of “NO”? The democrats are obstructionists who would rather see this country go into default rather than have to reign in on ANY kind of spending. It’s a blank check just like their king wants or nothing.

Reid has it all wrong. The American people have locked down the Congress. Why? Because they are not performing in a manner that pleases the people. Congress has spent their way into this mess and now blame those that want to get out of the mess and claim they are radicals. This is a complete insult to the American people and it shows their contempt for them.
Having said that, I hope I’m wrong, the fix is in. I’m afraid a deal has already been struck and the only thing that will come from this is the debt ceiling will be raised.

When the financial Chit really hits the fan absolutely everyone that counts (the undecideds) will remember the Tea party patriots and their stand at the fiscal Alamo...they won’t think they are kooks or terrorists then. They will be looked upon as the only sane ones, the small group that tried to save us all.

The real and hateful anti-American extremist is Harry Reid and the entire “destroy America” Democrat Party, including loser, failure, empty suit, POTUS Barack Hussein (Jeremiah Wright, Louie Farrakhan) Obama!!!! No matter what Reid does to save Obama, it will not work. Obama is toast and will go down as the worst USA POTUS in the history of the USA!!!

Mr. Reid, you have several bills before you to debate and even amend...it is you who is the obstructionist.

We need a leader in the senate who can go toe-to-toe with this steaming turd. I’m sick of this guy’s insults and no response from McConnell. He needs to go back to his Ol’ Kentucky Home and let somebody with some fight take his place.

O.K. Harry, let me get this straight. The House Republicans that want a very short-term deal to raise the national debt limit are 'extremists' because they annoy you for holding to their principles and not caving into Beltway 'pragmatism'? Tough. Harry, here's a flash: most Americans think that a president that has run the country so deep in debt that we need to raise the debt ceiling another 2 trillion (plus) dollars is what's 'extreme'.

Reid: Extremists Have Locked Down This CongressGood, because it's getting to look like the ONLY way to save our economy is to force a spending cut by shutting it down!
