Basically goes on to call the tea party opposition schizophrenia.. Him and Laura bash the tea party.
It is certainly highly bigoted against anyone who has served in the military (fellow FReepers who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America please comment on this yourselves), if not also Congressman West's race.
For me the easiest definition is fidelity to the US Constitution and Christan values.
Servant of the Cross: You asked for it... and made it easy. From your post .....
Wow, you just dug your heels in, and went from the word bigoted, to being complicit in accusing SaraJohnson's screed of outright racism. Then you offer the following as proof:
SotC, would you mind rethinking any of your assertions, based on the above analysis?
We need to get behind Speaker Boehner's plan. We simply can't put politics above doing what is right for the country. And in the meantime, we will continue to hold President Obama and the Senate Democrats accountable for all they have done to get us here.
There are two things you can do right now.
First, make a special contribution of $15, $25, $35, or even more right now to help me continue to fight for conservative principles. It's critical we have strong, outspoken voices in Washington, DC especially now.
Second, lets turn the tables on President Obama and call him at 202-456-1414 and tell the White House you think he needs come to the table on this crisis which faces every American man, woman and child.
President Obama has spent more time pointing fingers and blaming Republicans than solving the problem. But I think the American People see through that. And I think in the end, he and the Senate Democrats will pay the price at the ballot box next November.
You rest in politically correct group think.
I think you are way out of line, here.
That was very nice of you to go to the trouble to explain racism to our friend. Thanks.
I support West and trust him too.
I believe it’s bigoted against someone who has served in the military and will leave it at that.
But unfair is unfair, so ..... gotta do it, stranger.
Step away from the computer. Seriously. Get some fresh air, run to the store. Log off for a bit and step back. Accomplish something. Do some laundry, wash your car, pet your dog.
We’re all wound a bit tight this week.
Maybe O’ReillyHam has a point when she says we are siding with Barack Hussein Obama, after all, didn’t he say this in 2006?
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising Americas debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government cant pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Governments reckless fiscal policies.”
If you refine your use of the term, I can buy that. Just please don't claim she's being racist or 'generically' bigoted, because I didn't even see a trace of those things in her post.
Mr. West you dance with the one who brought you to the dance.
Looks like both parties are out to get the Tea Party out of the mix all together. There is real danger of a falling away from the GOP over this mess. I know the mantra is change from within, but gang, its not working. I have heard this touted for 20 yrs. The liberals in the GOP are in the positions which make all the rules. As a party the GOP is screwed and thus the country...
LOL. That's exactly what *he's* doing. The TP'ers aren't holding out because it gives them some political advantage. They're holding out solely because it is what's right for the country: to stop the hemorrhaging now with a plan that begins spending less money -- in *real* terms -- immediately.
Sorry, LTC. Accumulating $8 trillion more in debt over the next ten years -- as opposed to the current baseline's $9 trillion -- cannot be considered "right for the country."
... an you have to expect no less than this treatment from me, because DAMNED if I’ll let our side start swinging the racist, bigotted claims around the room willy-nilly with no justification. We reserve that stuff to the left. :)
I think Laura and Ann C. support Romney for president.
