Laz, you'll see my post 177 which, I think, responds to your very reasonable request here. These comments, in particular, bother me greatly: Sharpest knife; accustomed to following orders; military culture; clicked his heals; etc.

It is certainly highly bigoted against anyone who has served in the military (fellow FReepers who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America please comment on this yourselves), if not also Congressman West's race.

Wow, you just dug your heels in, and went from the word bigoted, to being complicit in accusing SaraJohnson's screed of outright racism. Then you offer the following as proof:

• He’s accustomed to following the orders of the leader. There is no mention of race in that sentence.
• He’s not sharpest knife in the drawer. There is no mention of race in that sentence.

Maybe O’ReillyHam has a point when she says we are siding with Barack Hussein Obama, after all, didn’t he say this in 2006?

Looks like both parties are out to get the Tea Party out of the mix all together. There is real danger of a falling away from the GOP over this mess. I know the mantra is change from within, but gang, its not working. I have heard this touted for 20 yrs. The liberals in the GOP are in the positions which make all the rules. As a party the GOP is screwed and thus the country...

LOL. That's exactly what *he's* doing. The TP'ers aren't holding out because it gives them some political advantage. They're holding out solely because it is what's right for the country: to stop the hemorrhaging now with a plan that begins spending less money -- in *real* terms -- immediately.

Sorry, LTC. Accumulating $8 trillion more in debt over the next ten years -- as opposed to the current baseline's $9 trillion -- cannot be considered "right for the country."

Well, he never was "up" on my radar screen anyway as far as things go. I'm more interested in where my Congressman's head and heart is now than him. These congressmen have to begin to realize that no matter how much money the DC cronies pour into their reelection coffers or how many pats on the back they get from MSM, golf outings with leadership etc., it does not make up for committed and aware constituents.

I think it fits the situation though because we may be wounded, but not mortality.

I like what you wrote, I too am a student of history, and it is history that we can learn from. We need to remember that we started the revolution in 2010, but it was not won. We inflicted major damage, but we cannot allow this little battle of the bulge to scare us into thinking the enemy has re-surged enough to take the victory from us.

Like Patton did in WWII, we too shall come to the rescue next year. IF... we keep our heads and look at this as just another battle in the war that we truly are winning.conservatives and we will win.

The lesson of 2010 is that the Democrats and the Rino's know we can replace them in the primaries, now we need to prove we can do it again to replace more RINO's.
