Glad it was better.
No flowers yet...
Summers are pretty grim around here. Kids go away to camp and my income dwindles to about 10% of what it was.
I eat a lot of rice and beans.
(((HUGS)))
Poison ivy.
It’s hot & hotter here!
It’s Arizona monsoon season which doesn’t always mean rain but does mean humidity.
Ya know that pic is red (earth) & stark but very beautiful as well.
So winter in Oz now?
Hope the shift is going well, fresh strong coffee & sustenance!
Just made a fresh pot of java..I’m set for the remainder of my shift.
Pretty shocking, huh? I’m changing the way I work my units.
Our work weeks go from Monday thru Sunday, and there are 2 weeks in each pay period. But we have 2 pay periods. So any week is both the first week for one group, Hourly 1, AND the second week for the other group, Hourly 2. Then payday is Friday after the second week.
For the last 2 weeks I have been printing out week 1 for “this pay week” and working them over the weekend. That means I can do any corrections on Monday, and then print week 2 late Monday and concentrate on fixing those issues on Tuesday....at least that is the theory. (One must factor in the phone.)
I’ve already printed out week 1 before I left work tonight and since I brought stuff home the last 2 night, this week’s work is done early so I can concentrate on them tomorrow and not bring them home.
The real problem, and no one seems to care, is that our payroll system needs 6 days, but we only have 5....do the math. And “they”, upstairs, have always told us how we need to do our jobs. “They”, of course, don’t have to deal with the fallout of angry people. Because, no matter what happens, or why, payroll is responsible for any problems. I would say at least 95% of issues are the info fed to us.
Nope, just failed promises.
Hugs Taz
